The lyrics in Amy's theme from SA1.

How the hell does Sonic remind someone of parsley when he stands still?

Eggman being able to go faster than not only Sonic, but Super Sonic.

With that much speed, Eggman dosen't even need machines. He can go toe-to-toe with Sonic.

Rings, HOW DO THEY WORK?

are they some sort of thing only animal-people like sonic can see? obviously not if eggman can get them as well as gamma.

is it a source of power? why are you the only one obsessed with the rings then?

is it currency? is that just what the cool people only accept are rings?

does it give you energy? it let's sonic go faster.

does it help control the power of the chaos emeralds? they deplete while you're in super mode. Does super mode actually slowly kill you?

when you grab a ring, is it gone forever? where do they go?

Why do the big rings work as warping device?

Rings are no different from springs, loops, dash pads, floating platforms and they game in terms of how logical they are. They're gameplay devices and nothing more.

I've always felt that it was strange that Robotnik has all these machines. I mean, where does he get the funding? Where does he get the metals, mechanics and fuel for these flying ships, robots, andriod-esque creations, badniks, laser cannons, ect?

I mean, if he can pay for that, he could probably obtain global domination through business. tongue.png

Springs atleast makes sense. I can even understand if the world just has weird geography or even traps placed by eggman.

but the rings....I can't let that go with a simple "oh it's just part of the game" it's obviously part of the game. No need to state such a thing. This is about strange things that we see, no need to ruin the fun.

I wanted to believe that too but then they had to lampshade it by having Tails and Tails discuss it in Sonic Generations. 8C

But all we know for sure is rings do somehow give you energy, and it's possible they give a similar, albeit it MUCH less weaker form of energy, as the chaos emeralds.

But yeah there's so much gameplay/story segregation it's just frustrating to dwell on them too much. D=

*Insert standard "It wasn't in the Japanese script, US script is bull and I don't care if it was technically written in English first >=|" comment here*

That said, even if you do ignore that, the fact that rings are used in SatAM and Sonic X (granted not canon to the games but still) still gives the concept some merit to wonder.

Also, it's probably been said already, but I only just joined the topic and don't particularly feel like reading through nine pages just to make sure nobody posted what I said yet. D: How exactly can Tails fly without, you know, tangling his tails up? It shouldn't even work. D: D:

Ever noticed how much Sonic's eyes move during the last cut scene of team sonic

they sometimes don't even go the same way

Here, skip over to 2:24

It looks almost like Grimchi3f signature picture.

God, Sonic Heroes' cut-scenes in general were just awful. All the FMV ones had the characters over-animated and floppy, and all the in-game ones were underanimated and just flew by in seconds.

What struck me as lightly weird is the Furry Confusion generated by the small animals such as Rabbits, Swallows and Raccoons in the Adventure games and characters like Cream, Wave and Marine. And then there's the incredibly weird thing that is realistic bats in Egg Quarters next to Rouge.

And am I the only one who wondered where the heck the Ice Stone came from in Sonic Adventure? It just floats down from the sky and lands in an alleyway near the Casino in Station Square. Unless it's a retcon, it's not like Cream dropped it :P I mean, she didn't exist when SA was first released.

I thought that Heroes' cutscene models were just horrendous :P I mean, this has got to be one of the most awful Modern Sonic renders hasn't it? -

Ew....looks worse than even '06's Sonic renders.

Ugh, yes. It's just that mouth, it would look okay otherwise. Sucks as well that it was pretty much the go-to render for Sonic for far too long in non-exclusively-Sonic related press about the series in general. It still appears pretty often.

It's the mouth and the eyes that strike me as horrible. His mouth looks like the Nike tick logo reversed whilst his brow above the middle of his eyes looks tumorous. That and the eyes just look....souless?

Something about the texture makes me not want to touch it. Like it's something that, if I felt it, I'd have a pretty visceral negative reaction. The touch equivalent of nails on a chalkboard.

I actually like that render. I like the nike smile because it reminds me of the adventure artwork. The eyes do look too dark though. The eyeball is also too dull looking. And the skin texture does look strange. But the muzzle has some shape on it, and the pose I love. The textures need better detail though. The other character renders lack detail as well. And some of them just look bad in general (Shadow and Rouge)

The thing is though those renders aren't the same models as the FMV ones. I wonder who created them. Why didn't they just use the FMV models and pose them. The VisionScape site have similar poses of all the characters so I don't know why they didn't use those when they have more detail. (Don't go on their site though, it's infected with viruses)

I always thought the SADX renders were just awful. I mean I like the adventure style but that was just too much. Those were awful.

Okay, how is it that we don't see more Mobian/bipedial/whatever-the-heck-you-want-to-call-them talking animals in the games? You know, other than Sonic's friends/rivals/enemies?

Seriously, you'd think there would be more of those things around.=/

In Unleashed, When Sonic approached the Egg Beatle in Mazuri, Eggman then said to Sonic "How did you get here so QUICKLY?" ummm....Progressive insurance? and this is comming from a evil genius with an IQ of 300 O_O

Also Amy pulling out her Hammmer from her behind in many games such as Sonic Riders, Zero Gravity etc etc....HOW THE HELL does it fit in there/wherever she puts it? and Where does she get those hammers? O_O

Seriously...how does it fit? blink.png

I'm pretty sure when characters pull things from out of their ass nowhere we call it Hammerspace.

Also, this was mentioned before, but did anyone notice Modern Sonic's pose on the Generations box art (HD Vers.) Is the same one from Sonic 06? Just look:

^Only the model on Generations looks better.

But as for another strange moment in Sonic, and I'm suprised no one's said it yet, but how Sonic's gloves and shoes magically return after he changes back from the Werehog. Even Chip notifys this when you feed him certain foods in the game.

It's kind of like the game programmers are poking fun at the absurdity of Sonic logic in general.

To be fair, Sonic Generations is basically a Nostalgia Game, chockful of references to past titles. I'm willing to bet that it's probably an intentional stealth reference to Sonic '06.
