Wait... th-this is real?

I'm convinced Ken Penders might be the actual, real King Dedede.

Yup.

There is also a power point presentation that goes along with it.

Would anyone like to see it?

1200/10 Best movie ever. definitely deserves a sequel.

No seriously, what the hell was that. that King Dedede movie looks far superior to this thing. (At least it's actually animated and watchable.) but yeah that would be interesting to see Hogfather. (At least to see his pathetic ideas for the film. And to satisfy my morbid curiosity.)

Might as well provide the context to which this thing was meant to exist. Go for it.

I myself like the part where the kid refugee from Iraq in a Sonic shirt being escorted by a soldier is used as evidence of Sonic's global appeal. Truly a man of class and empathy devised this. Oh, and then there's a part where it's mostly stuff the executives would know about, given that 90 percent of it is basically "SONIC IS POPULAR", and doesn't actually explain WHY a movie would be a good thing or why Penders should be entrusted to it.

To say nothing of the fact that this looks like it was made by a third grader for a class project. Good freaking grief.

IIRC, didn't Ben Hurst try to get a movie but Ken Penders screwed him over?

Yeah. There was something like that.

There is nothing concrete to prove it though, beyond the suspicious circumstances and the fact that shortly after Hurst's plans went up in smoke, Penders decided to pursue his own movie, which was evidently better received despite the fact that its intended ambitions were far more wide-reaching than Hurst's own (Penders was under the impression that his movie should be used as the new basis for the entire franchise). It is similarly unknown whether or not, if Penders DID go over Hurst's head and independently contacted the SEGA rep, if he maliciously relayed information in a way to sour the rep beforehand or if he simply did it by accident.

Otherwise it is ultimately a rumor. Given Penders observed behavior and tendancy towards dishonesty, it's not a stretch to imagine that he did *something* or the other, but in the end we just don't know. Shit like this does not help his case though. Like at all.

Edit: Dammit, the link is still cutting off. Just add "&t=2717" after the "18", sit back, and enjoy the Champion of Creator's Rights at work.

....kiiiinda flabbergasted right now. He seriously tried to use the Lawsuit as a means of getting a Knuckles movie made? Seriously? Good grief this guy has a one track mind.

Ken expands on peoples recent questions about "Sonic Armageddon". So surprised that his comment about SEGA not at all being behind making the film and of course it's Ben's fault in the whole scenario. (sarcasm)

I think Ken is just jealous because Ben Hurst was a better writer then him.  Also pretty low blow to blame crap on a dead guy who can't call you out on your lies.?

Let this be a reminder to everyone: when Ken says he really cares about the Sonic comic, its another straight up lie. He is clawing at the bit for Knuckles, its literally the only thing he cares about.

If he ever had the chance, he would take Knuckles and leave everything else behind.

Understandable, Knuckles is a neat character, and he put alot of time into developing Knuckles history/cast.  But yea, his obsession with a character he didn't create and those he did that solely exist to be supporting cast for that character is indeed disturbing.  He needs to move on and just appreciate what he did instead of continually tarnishing his name & legacy with his delusions & obsession.

It's interesting that it's called  "Sonic Armageddon", because years ago, maybe 2005? I came across some character designs, 1 of Sonic, 1 of Shadow and 1 of a completely new Hedgehog. For years I thought it was concept art for Sonic 06, as the 3rd hedgehog only bared a passing resemblance to Silver as if a lot had been done to it.

Perhaps it was concept art to this? Maybe it WAS concept art to Sonic 06 or maybe its a coincidence of the purest form.

Either way...

Armageddon outta here!

Whoa, that kid talking in the "trailer", I have problems to wrap my head around the fact how much better kid voice acting I've heard compared to this. Something just made me not to take this so seriously as the clip seemed to want me to after that voice acting. Too smiley voice or something.

About the slideshow; now I'm actually a bit curious how the actual presentation would've gone, with all the talk and discussion added. Mostly I'm thinking about the oral part of the possible presentation. For me teachers and such have pretty much always told not to put too much text on slides for that would only make the following harder for the audience.

God why does he keep on with this concept that his stuf MUST be the one, true, version of Sonic? It must be pure egomania because nobody does this sort of thing and never have - Penders: look how successful the Transformers movies were/are (regardless of their quality, or complete lack thereof) and they're still not the basis for the entire franchise. "This was before those movies" you argue, alright, how about the Batman TV series (with Adam West), the Batman movies or Batman: The Animated Series, all wildly successful but never made the basis for the entire franchise or even the primary continuity, elements were incorporated but nothing more, or the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman series? How about the success and fan and critical praise for the likes of the Dark Knight Returns or Kingdom Come, still never made the one true future.

On a more on-topic note, that PowerPoint presentation, do you know what bugs me? on the first 'Longest Runnign Comic Book' page, he uses covers then randomly a title page. Why not all covers, or a mix of covers and interior content? why just that one image? It's not like he couldn't just nick another cover picture offline. Yeah, THAT'S what bugs me, I'm odd.

Out of 10, how would you rate this pitch.

1: 9!

2: 10!

3: 10!

4: 11!

Edit: This was found a few years back, a number of people saw it however it got a takedown noticed slapped on it and was removed. Well it's been re-discovered via a very old forum. So there it is.

Feels like a typical fantasy\adventure filck from the 90s (a-la Warriors of Virtue), but with Sonic.
