SEGA Europe has uploaded the artwork to SEGA Press, and they have a render of Vyse.

20aufx2.jpg

Vyse is only available in JPEG, though.

Vyse looks badazz!!! I really wish sega would make a HD remake of Skies of Arcadia T.T

I think we might be getting 3DS news today. The latest Google results show a 3DS update for the game at Games Press, but you can't view it without an account there. I've just signed up, but no password has been sent to me yet.

You say...You should get some screens of the Vita version out..Please do tell. ohmy.png

I'm quite curious how it looks on the Vita, but even though you said it doesn't support the new fancy lighting engine, I still feel it probably will look a bit close to the console versions.

Cannot wait to see more on the Vita version, kind of excited even.

goddammit SEGA, can I see some Gum already!? whoops, that ain't my line.

We're just getting some more polish into it now and putting the finishing touches to it. I think it's going to be well received, it's literally a mini HD version of the game :P

Once we've knocked a few kinks out I suspect it's ready for screenshots and videos (is in many cases already, just the odd render thing we need to tidy up).

Although it doesn't have the full deferred render on the lighting, the guys have really pulled off some magic with the lightmaps. You really can't tell the difference in most cases.

Hey S0L, I'm wondering a few things...

First of all, in the original ASR, we weren't able to race each others' Avatars in local multiplayer. Player 2 would always be a generic Avatar. Will this be fixed in Transformed? Will it be possible to race with our own Miis on Wii U?

Secondly, is the Wii U version DLC-capable? The reason I'm asking is because the Bonus Edition content seems to be on-disc in the Wii U version so I'm worried there's a problem with the game and DLC...

Way it works now is if you're signed in, I believe it allows you to use your Avatar. If you're not, then you'll get a default one.

Wii U version is as DLC compatible as the others, the bonus content was bundled to make sure it was available as bear in mind we're not sure what services will be available on the retail console day one (for example on 3DS, the E-Store wasn't available for a while!).

Sigh... is the PC version coming out later than the console version?

Is this just a sly tactic to get us PC guys to double dip? You cheeky devils...

Again, I can't say much here, it's SEGA call to announce dates. All I can say right now is it's going to after the console release date, but that's all I can say.

Welcome back SOL. Shame about the weather. Great to know the Vita version is doing good, can't wait to see what it looks like.

Speaking of that version something I wanted to ask about it. Is it being released the same day as the console versions in UK or will it get a December release like the US?

Given we're still working on it, 16th November UK release is unlikely. I think SEGA either have or are due to announce the handheld dates over here, they're slightly later than the home console versions.

Hi i'm new here. and i wanted to ask SOL something and i hope you can tell me. back in april 30 there was a rumor on the tssz news that kirby was in the 3ds version of sonic and all stars racing transformed and i want to know if this is true.

Someones already answered this. I'm not sure where the story started but neither us nor SEGA have ever announced we were putting in Nintendo characters to the game. Some time after this when asked who I'd have put in, I said Kirby, just as it's one of my preferred characters, but it's never gone beyond that :P

SEGA has definitely not announced a delay for the handheld versions in Europe and Australia. SEGA Press still has them down for November 16th, as do SEGA's website and retailers. Just seen a press release at Games Press from November 2nd that also still lists them for November 16th. If the games are delayed in EU and AU, then SEGA need to announce it ASAP. Maybe you could give them a kick up the butt?

I don't suppose you're allowed to give us a hint as to what specs one would need to run ASRT on the PC?

E.g. Is this going to be the next 'can it run Crysis' or more 'It can run ghostbusters... ALL OF THEM!'

By the way, I want to say. Japanese CG arts only Sonic characters, Nights and Ulala. The rest of the Sumo (or other company) arts.

If to be exact, I want to see the correct answer from S0L

Yeah, odd, I'll give them a poke...

So long as it's recent, should be fine. You need a video card that supports Shader Model 3.0, if you can play Portal 2 or say Dishonoured, should be laughing.

We don't do renders, it's specialised thing. They're either provided by SOJ, or where that wasn't possible (for say Beat, Vyse, Gilius) by our friends over at Passion Republic. Except for Joe Musashi who was done by the SEGA Europe Art Director smile.png

Kinda bummed about the PC version getting a later release. Was looking forward to playing it soon, but I've got enough stuff on my backlog to keep me busy for a good couple of...years.

These renders are pretty sick, though. Especially the Vyse and Gillius ones.

Speaking of which.

Oh man, those are some nice renders. I was actually excited to see Gilius rendered in smooth n' squeaky 3D! Kinda sucks that NiGHTS and Reala don't have new renders, though.

Are you feeling it now, Mr Krabs?

We're working on getting demos out as soon as possible, but I can't give you a date at this stage as we're not sure when they'll hit. We like to get them out before the game hits, but can't promise.

As to the Danica toy car, you'll need to check with SEGA on that one. It looks like a US specific deal with certain retailers and we just aren't involved in that side of things!

Sol i have a BIG question for you. I saw in a other forum that you say it will be 3 classes in the game (easy medium hard), AND a ALL star class, the more difficult. Is this mode also going faster in speed? Can you tell us more about this?

SEGA moved the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to November 18th to match the Wii U version.
