I think, for me, an appealing YTP has a combination of some spontaneity and clever or bizarre sentence mixing. Word splices are my favorite kinds of poops because, when it's done well, it can lead to some amusing results. And even if it's an awkward splice, it can still sound funny!

I'm also a huge fan of YTPMVs, though I haven't seen any new ones in a while. Here's one of my favorites, though.

I've seen many YouTube poops and I occasionally find one that actually makes me laugh. But ever since the "Sonic Sez with Electronic Sounds" incident, I've stayed away from Sonic YTPs. I like "Aladdin commits suicide", but that's off topic because it isn't a sonic YTP.

I definitely remember all of Igiulamam's YTPMVs, they're a class of their own. Never did find that many YTPs with anything other than AoStH stuff though.

I love YTP in general. Always cracks me up depending if it's done right. Spadinner poops are the worst and seem to plague the good YTP, but when it's funny, oh man it's funny.

I always look forward to seeing what the YTP community come up with. YTP Collabs are usally the best place to see what they do. This is one of the best.

With regards to whether YTP is still funny or not, I've sort of given up defending it personally. Hell if I can even work out what it is about the poops I love that makes them good compared to crappy ones, and even if I could work it out, articulating it would be beyond my capabilities.

Though as a general rule I do prefer the ones that provide a ridiculous/alternate narrative throughout the poop rather than just being random stuff. I mean I enjoy characters being reversed/sped-up/slowed down to make funny noises more than I'd care to admit but it's always better when those are moments contained in an otherwise heavily sentence-mixing based storyline.

Which is funny because I used to make poops back in like, 2005 (all but one are still on youtube too) and mine had barely any narratives at all, but then that's all we knew back in those days.
