Sumo Digital & Steve Lycett aka S0L will be doing a presentation/talk about the making of SASRT on July 5th at the Games Britannia event in Rotherham.

Tickets are free, so if you can genually go you should get one now.

Don't really know much about the Games Britannia event, but I imagine it's a bit of a low key videogame even so there could be a few things there other than Sumo.

To copy and paste from the ticket place

SUMO Digital and Steve Lycett present "The Making of SEGA & SONIC All Stars Racing"

Sumo Digital have worked with Sega for over 9 years now across a series of titles, and arguably know more about Sega's considerable back catalogue than Sega themselves.

An intimate account of how this groundbreaking title was taking from drawing board to console game.

Find out what it is REALLY like to make a videogame or maybe more about the upcoming sequel " Sega & All-Stars Racing: Transformed!"

The 'Transformed' in the title refers to the vehicles, which can transform between driving, boating and flying, and the tracks, which transform in various ways to accommodate the different surfaces. SUMO have included a wide range of tracks & characters drawn from across Sega's history.

It's for the making of the first game, not Transformed. It just says there might be more details about Transformed there. Anyway, I wish I could go, but I can't :-/ If anyone here will be going and could share details/media, we at TSS, and I'm sure everyone here at the SSMB, would be grateful.

Ah right, I really wasn't too sure since they use both titles in the article and even get the title wrong at one point.

But echoing what Shadzter said, if anyone can cover this that would be awesome!

Actually... It'll all depend how much time I get to refresh the presentation. Whilst the one I have is all about the making of SSR, my plan is to also give some insight into the new game and the problems we've faced from a design perspective in making it all work. SEGA allowing of course.

So don't rule it out :)
