If Sonic Unleashed 2 was ever made...

Not sure if this has been made yet, but hey.

Now, I want to ask, we don't know for SURE if there will be a Sonic Unleashed 2, but if they were to make such a game, whether it had werehog or not, what locations would you want to see as levels?

Me? I'd want to see a stage based off of Moscow, Russia. Do not ask me why, but I will say that it looks beautiful, based on the pictures I have seen.

EDIT: Oh, and I'd like to see a Tokyo based level, too.

London, to see Sonic running up big ben or having a boss battle on the London eye; would just be ultimate win. Through in him hopping onto a red bus half way through a level and you've got orgasmicalic win. If that

makes sense...

Honestly if sonic team ever made a unleashed 2 i wouldn't want to see the stages based off of real world locations

id rather have a different theme for each level, similar to sonic 06 but obviously stretched out.

Id like to see

Beach

Ocean/Water

Jungle

Snow

City

Sky

Egg Fortress

Levels.

But if it had to be based off of world locations id love to see a level based off Matchu Picchu or The Alps

Dubai, because it already has tonnes of strangely shaped buildings and such so they wouldn't even have to massively change it in the translation to Sonic's world.

Also Vegas, so that they can tackle the casino cliche and the real-world inspiration concept in one go. Or how about a France level, complete with an Eiffel Tower ripoff and outrageous French stereotypes as NPC characters?

I'd like to see a big neon-lit city, something like Vegas or Tokyo. Brightly colored during the day, even moreso at night. And a big redwood forest, like what Wood Zone was going to be. Now that I think about it, have they ever actually done a level like that? It's usually all tropical/jungle sort of forests...

I've thought about how some of you don't like the "realism", or real world locations become Sonicized in Unleashed. I think I agree. If there are areas based real world locations, I'd suggest mixing even more Sonic elements into the game, more than just loops. Gamenerd's got the idea. Something like if Vegas was actually a pinball city, but still retained some of those real world aspects.

It'd be nice to see Sonic travel in stage, too. Starting in once place and ending up in another area, like you've really covered distance.

For locations ...

- Australian outback desert stage, maybe to visit Uluru, the flat red mountain in the middle.

- Brazil based stage, from Rio to the Amazon.

- Volcanic islands of Hawaii.

- Moscow or some northern city would be nice, you could start in the city and run out into a snowy wilderness.

- Yeah, I'll second the Vegas casino stage as well.

Mostly, I'd like themed stages. Something that could take place anywhere. I'd like to see Sonic running from a subway train, like we speculated for the New York stage on the old boards. A new highway stage, maybe. An underground stage would be cool, I dunno where any large caves are though. And a sewer stage, because I think Toxic Caves was the only sewer stage in the series.

Basically, I like the idea of places inspired by real world locations. But I want Sonic's world to show through that. I'd love it for Sonic to start in the Green Hill Zone, and travel to all this civilization. I want that bridge from Green Hill to modern Sonic, even literally.

And a big redwood forest, like what Wood Zone was going to be. Now that I think about it, have they ever actually done a level like that? It's usually all tropical/jungle sort of forests...

Parts of Mushroom Hill were very forested. The background, the mossy floor, and the tall trees by the logger mini-boss.

Hmm...well, here's a list, after considering the level styles for each location in the first game, here's my list:

-Tokyo, Japan (a bright flashy city level to replace Empire City)

-Sydney, Australia (an area to replace Apotos or Spagonia)

-Brazil, South America (a good replacement to Mazuri)

-Tibet (it'd be cool to have a snowy mountainous level that has oriental themes, it'd be like a mix between Chun-Nan and Holoska)

-Hawaii (a nice, pure tropical level would be nice, and it could replace Adabat. Hell, it could even have some volcanic elements to mix things up)

-Las Vegas, USA (this one's been proposed to death, but I'd love seeing a bright, flashy, pinball-esque level)

-Mexican Mayan Ruins (it'd be cool to have an entire area based around ancient ruins :P)

That's all I got right now...lol

I'd love to see a Brazil level, considering I travel overseas to the Amazon periodically.

Uhh... Mystic Ruins?

lol, I meant for like a real-world-based area, and to a much grander extend. I mean, there was a giant pyramid in Mystic Ruins, that's it. I'm talkin' about the people, markets, and everything being based in actual ancient ruins and all.

^ This. I did like the Unleashed levels, but basing them so, so blatantly on IRL locations took the "Sonic" out of it a lot, for me. As Badnikz said before, have the jumping and speeding through human cities, but throw in some Music Plants and Green Hill Zones too.

Speaking of literal bridges, I think that'd be a good idea for a level. Think "Bridge Zone" from 8-bit Sonic 1 crossed with "Lake Crystal" from Tails' Adventure; but in 3D! You're following the course of a river for some reason (maybe Robotnik's escaping up / downstream in some vehicle?), and there'd be constant jumping off floating logs, running along the banks, and springing from branches in the canopy above.

And a big redwood forest, like what Wood Zone was going to be. Now that I think about it, have they ever actually done a level like that? It's usually all tropical/jungle sort of forests...

Wasn't there one in '06? While it might have been tropical, I certainly recall massive tree boughs and whatnot.

I'd like to see some more traditional areas like cities and forests in them, but they should put more of a Sonical twist to them. For example, how about a sort of rock or music city of sorts? I have this shirt that depicts a city made of boomboxes, radios, and head phones, I thought that would make a really cool Sonic level. It's cool looking (What isn't cool about a city inspired entirely by rock and old-school boomboxes?), and it would make for some fun level gimmicks. Sonic Unleashed looked beautiful and was a very "blue-skies" game, which is a step in the right direction from Sonic 06' and Shadow's "EVERY LEVEL MUST BE A DESTROYED HIGHWAY WITH FIRE BEASTS FROM HELL" theme, but not as cool or inspiring as a Sonic level should look.

I'd like a japanese setting to go along with the chinese settings. The look similar, but there's some differences to it, namely the Chinese more wider use of the color red while the Japanese are more ornate with the colors.

And another futuristic utopia-like stage. But with a more uplifting feel to balance Eggmanland's hellish tone.

That'd be pretty awesome. I was thinking of that idea, but I couldn't figure out why Sonic would need to follow the river. There are so many major world rivers to choose from for this one. The Ganges would be my first choice. The Nile or Mississippi could work too.

There are really good ideas in this thread. A Venice like city would be nice, with lots of places where Sonic can't cross the water and whatnot. Think of Soleanna, but good and with gondolas that he could travel with and sewers, etc.

And a sewer level was already done in SA, Casinopolis, for someone who asked. The White Jungle and Green Forest are Amazon like themed levels as well, with the big trees and flooded areas.

I want cities that look like and remind me of the original levels. If that can't be done, then make the original levels 3D and make them look like cities by adding buildings and such.

If it's gotta be a real life location on its own, I'd say Las Vegas for the bright lights and all the casinos, or something like Times Square, like '90s Boulevard from Zero Gravity, except the level would actually be a platforming level.

-A Brazilian like stage, but with something else: Set in a enormous carnavale. Full of music, dancing people, conffetti and balloons.

-A ruin stage.

-A city-level with a Las Vegas setting. Full of neone and even some Casino bumpers there and there.

-A more realistic version of Green Hill Zone. Not too realistic, still having the checked patter on the grass and still having the loops and all that kind of stuff. But being a little less blocky in order to fitt in the new world of sonic.

Hmmm.

How about a long winding road with lots of goldish grassy hills and cattle behind fences? It's really boring on a real world rode trip, but Sonic-ified it could work. There could be closed off roads that sonic suddenly has to turn and leap from one hill to another one with a new road... and then there's oncoming traffic you'd need to avoid... maybe a Traffic Jam that Sonic runs along the top of... something that says "road trip" or something like that... well... to a californian...

And I totally want to see Sonic teams take on the fabled Hippo Island.

Ya know I love Australia, I love Hawaii, and I love Moscow but I have to protest against Casio Levels. Circus Levels are ok, but all Casino Levels take too much time gaining rings in those slots things and less about just getting through the level. Twinkle park was good, but the Casino level was slow, and the Casino Levels in Sonic Heros are PAINFUL.

Funny thing is I've been designing a game around the South West American locations, where I have Sonic travel from Santa Barbara/San Fran/wine country/orange groves area, into the South West Monument Valley area were he's running up and down Native American houses built in the walls of mountains and getting hypnotized by cave paintings. There'd be an alternate part where he races against Motorcycle Robots on a route 66 highway.

Those would be the 1st two levels, but the 3rd level was a Colorado Rocky Mountains area, which would be like Moscow being a snowy woodland zone. 4th level was the Casino Levels being he went to Vegas, but I think a better way to deal with Vegas as an area would be a Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas idea. That you're dealing with the city as the city at night, rather then the parks and themes inside. Just getting through the city would be madness, you wouldn't need to go inside.

On a side note: I'd have Sonic do a 2D style level, where he's trapped in his own mind forced to live a retro 2D style level. 6th level I had in a TV station where he'd be stuck looking into weird cameras and moving enemies you can't attack, or Sonic POV. 7th level was going back to CA in turmoil, like the bad side of Los Angles or another ghetto area and with the villain has caused chaos to the town and it was near destruction.

I think they should try more ugly themed levels. Oil Ocean is a really upsetting level if you think about it, it's an OIL Ocean. I think they should redo that level or a Junk Yard level with things falling apart around you. Angel Island Level started out nice but then caught on fire. Otherwise there hasn't been a lot of Levels designed about dystopian themes, and it wouldn't hurt to have a level based about human filth and destruction...maybe Heinous Anus Zone

I'm of the notion to be against ever having anything as bad as Sonic Unleashed ever again.

I'd rather they take small inspirations from real life, but mix that with alot of their own creation, ya know like they did in the past.

Insanely unique colourful whimsical levels instead of blatant our world junk.

I don't think the past games were that different artistically compared to Sonic Unleashed.

-Aquatic Ruins and pre-nuked Angel Island could be compared to Adabat

-Metropolis and Chemical Plant combined would look similar to Eggmanland

-Sandopolis is the classic equivalent to Shamar

-Sky Chase as a nuked down version of both the Classic one and SA1 version

-Starlight zone would (almost) be similar to Empire City

Chun-nan, Spagonia, Mazuri, and Apotos would be the only ones you couldn't compare with anything from the classics.

I'd like to see an Ireland level. Perhaps around castle ruins and it would be something similar to Kingdom Valley or Titanic Plains.

Also a Tokyo level would be neat, and a nice replacement for the New York inspired, Empire City.

Maybe a New Zeleand or Austraila level and perhaps even another American level but instead of the city it could be based on small rural towns in the mid-west.
