One time I was in the grocery store when, suddenly, on the radio, I heard a song that sounded remarkably similar to Sonic 3's Angel Island.

BUT THE STUPID RADIO DOESN'T TELL THE NAMES OF SONGS.

So I've been trying to find that song for AGES.

This may not be a complete "one song to another" comparison, but I always felt that Sonic music in the 16bit era highly resembled Freestyle music from the 80's to the 90's. Such music from Expose, Cover girls, Sweet Sensation and etc.

I've noticed a few similarities between Sonic songs and other songs.

The beginning of Azure Lake (Sonic 3) from about 0:01 sounds like 'Groovin Daylight' from Scud Race/Sega Super GT, at about 0:43
