Heh, that's interesting... I definitely like the Blaze and Chaotix ones.

As much as I would so LOVE to see Tikal appear in the game... "riding" Chaos does seem a little... creepy...

Pretty cool overall.

A new track in the Colours wonderland would be nice, with the weird alien things worked in somehow. I'm sure you could work it out. ;)

Don't think it's gonna happen guys...

I've been wanting to buy this game... can anyone tell me which is the best version? I'm thinking of getting the PC version since I can get it on Steam and play it on my laptop. Do I have to be on the internet once I download it from steam to play it, like in my car? And can a laptop with Windows 7 home premium 64-bit with 3 GB of memory run the game well?

So... after much troubles and 2 pc upgrades, I finally got the game, and I was drooling about it's awesomeness 'till I noticed something.

I can't play with my pc pad, now, the documentation states that the game comes with XBOX360 pad support, but I wouldn't want to buy another pad just for this (though I can do it) so... doesn anyone have any idea how to play with my regular pad? (if not, how can I configure the player 2 keys so I can use Joy2Key to play with my gamepad?).

Thanks in advance :)

Can't help you guys in the PC version department I'm afraid, it's the only version of the 5 I don't have. I'm sure someone here could help.

You realise we were being sarcastic and having a laugh right? It's obvious it's not going to happen.

If you don't mind about losing the online play or DLC then the PC version would be fine, but you'd have to check what your laptop's graphics and processor specifications are before buying. If it runs other modern games then it should be fine, I wouldn't have thought that All Stars Racing would be too graphically intense.

The Steam specs are as follows:

OS: Windows XP/Vista. (if running Windows Vista SP1 is recommended)

Processor: 3.2 GHz Intel Pentium 4/Athlon 64 3000+ or equivalent processor

Memory: 1GB RAM (2GB on Vista)

Graphics: DirectX 9.0c compliant video card with 256 MB RAM (NVIDIA 7600 or better, ATI X1300 or better)

DirectX®: DirectX 9.0c

Hard Drive: 6 GB Hard Drive Space

Sound: DirectX Compatible Sound Card

Anyone up for some more races on the 360 version at some point soon? I got my promo copy yesterday and I'm on a dimly-lit street corner looking for people to play the game with.

Memory: 3GB RAM

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9500 with 1GB RAM

DirectX®: DirectX 9.0c

Hard Drive: Doesn't matter lol (but probably full of viruses for so much porn random files I have)

Sound: I dunno lol (on board)

I would say it runs at an almost (it tends to literally freeze sometimes when the things are crowed and someones attacks/gets hit) solid 30 FPS, with some 60 FPS moments at max settings (and a 1024 x 768 Resolution, wich is a kind of Low Res if I am not wrong.) Haven't tested it in Low settings.

But watch out, this game seems to support only some default key configurations and XBOX360 Controllers, if you want to play with a normal PC Pad or change the key config to suit your needs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATh8zXgfsX4.

Hope that helps. :)

There is a similar program for simulating an X360 controller on the PC, so that it tricks the computer into recognising a regular PC pad as a 360 one. It probably does the same job as the one used in the video, but I haven't got any PC games that require a 360 pad so I can't test it.

Here's a link anyway: http://www.jayceooi.com/2009/01/19/download-xbox-360-controller-emulator-for-pc-games/

So I don't know if this is happening all over.

But my local gamestation is holding a contest for ASR this Sunday. Basically, it's an open contest to see who can get the fastest lap time. Not sure which lap it's going to be, but theres prizes for the winner.

I would like to think they will not allow glitched times... Anyways I wonder if they will allow that "infinite drift" technique that was so popular back then...

Anyways, Oh my god I freaking love racing in Rocky Coaster with Samba de Janeiro as BGM, it always pumps me up. :D

And it seems like so far my main is Knuckles, since he seems to have the best handling in the roster (still hasn't played with the Chu Chu¡s or Alex Kidd). :D

Really? Sounds like a good idea, I'll have to see if my local store is doing something similar...I highly doubt it though. sleep.gif

I find Ryo-F to kick a lot of ass. I beat a rather skilled Shadow player in two consecutive Monkey Ball races, tracks which I'm usually rubbish at. It felt good!

Knuckles does have the best handling in the game, but if you're skilled it really shouldn't matter how high a character's handling stat is unless it's abnormally low like Eggman, the ChuChus, Jacky and Akira, Big, or Zobio and Zobiko. Alex Kidd is great though. Really good acceleration and handling and an absolute monster in the right hands, same as Knuckles.

I'd play with you guys but I accidentally left my copy of the game over a friend's house, getting it back this weekend though, possibly even today. I'm starting to miss kicking everyone's ass with Knuckles, Ulala, Beat, and Alex Kidd.

I just realized it's been ages since I posted here.

Doesn't knuckles also have the best drift time? So the only bad part is his low speed?

I seriously want this game on PC... and I just accidentally made a post meant for the Sonic Colors page... so I might as well put something to fill up the space. So, is this game good or does it suck on PC?

^^ It's the same as the PS3 version, but you will have to deal with some serious issues:

1) No online play

2) No DLC

3) You will need a fix if you weant to play it with a PC Pad.

If you don't mind for any of theese things and you have an average PC then go ahead. ;)

Seeing as I am a complete noob, maybe I should stay with the Rad Red. :P

I haven't got any problems with Z&Z and Eggman... yet, but I can certainly say that I am still having nightmares about that dreaded time when I decided to play in treetops with Jacky & Akira. D:

Guest Miles Per Hour

A few people have asked me what's the best version, I would rank each version like this (I own all versions and this is just my opinion):

1. PS3 Version: Why? it was the lead version in development and is the best graphiced version, the frame rate is also the highest. You can also use the PS3 controller as a wheel.

2. 360 Version: It has avatars and a exclusive character to this version, very similar to the PS3 version but the graphics are not as good and the frame rate is lower.

3. Wii Version: Because it has pretty good graphics for a Wii game, though the online mode is pretty bad considering most of the time the host ends the match when he/she is losing -_-' but it has Mii's playable and you can also use the Wii-mote as a wheel. Also, why is there no blur on the Wii version...

4. PC Version: No online, no DLC. It's great since you can also customize the graphic settings.

5. DS Version: It feels very generic if you ask me. The graphics are nice for a DS game I guess. But the online mode is pretty empty.... oh well.

theSpeedDemon27 over at the SEGA Forums found this interesting glitch in what I guess is the PC version since someone suggested he/she re-download it to fix the glitch.
