I was under the impression that they didn't know how long they'd be gone, that bioware thought a sequel would be made, and that they didn't really have much of a choice.

It's really as irritating as the cliffhanger to season 2 of SatAM. Cliffhangers are always a questionable thing to do when there is no absolute guarantee of a conclusion.

Cliffhanger or not, the squad really was pressed against the wall. They had little choice but to go after IX and retrieve the emerald, and they had no way of knowing that time flowed differently in the twilight cage.

In their minds, they were probably just jumping worlds to quickly beat down IX and beat a hasty retreat. While in actuality they ended up giving Eggy enough time to rebuild an empire. It not like they intended to leave the world defenseless for so long.

But they did know how time behaves in the Cage.

During the chapter in which they're stuck in Metropolis Ground Zero and trying to get the power grid up and working so that construction can begin on the craft, Shade does reveal how long she and her people have been inside the Cage. Upon the revelation that the Nocturne have been away for 3000 odd years, Rouge even teases Knuckles by saying how he's into "older girls" because technically, Shade is over 3000 years old from their POV. Even Amy expresses shock at the revelation. This is all before they ever depart from their world, so they know or at least have a general gist of how time behaves beforehand. Which makes their actions all the more downright irresponsible and unbelievable regarding Eggman.

Sigh... -__-

No, the final boss theme is lackluster too. Guys I really dislike this game's music, I won't think any differently about it. Most of it I can't remember to be honest. I'm trying to recall what Asteroid Coaster sounds like and it's failing me. I can't say that for most Sonic games. =/ I'm not the biggest fan of Sonic 2006's music either but I can remember some tracks and snippets of others that stand out.

Planet Wisp is rather pretty and Aquarium Park has a nice drum and bass sound that I enjoy, but that's it. In fact, though those are nice songs I can't be bother to listen to them leisurely like many other Sonic tunes. Planet Wisp Act 2 is my favorite theme in Colors but I don't have it in my music library. However, I've heard some nice remakes. It's one of the worst Sonic soundtracks I've heard since Shadow's game and Secret Rings. I'm sorry, it's just not good.

If Sonic CD was meant to rely on speed than platforming then Collision Chaos wouldn't have bumpers all over the place and Wacky Workbench wouldn't have floors that bounce you high into the sky. Even though Stardust Speedway comes off as the ideal "speedy" level in the game, there's so much interference in the level itself that the speed concept isn't always there. Sonic 2 and S3&K are much more speedy. It's not that I hate platforming. I just don't like excessive 2D platforming breaking up the main emphasis, speed. Some levels were a minute or two long and required nothing but jumping or wisps. No. That is not Sonic to me. Why do that? Maybe if these were optional I would have been okay, like missions, BUT THESE WERE MANDATORY LEVELS. WHY ARE YELLOW SPRING STAGES WITH BOTTOMLESS PITS MANADTORY? God I hated those levels! They are so not Sonic!!! They aren't even fun, they're tedious!!

Man, I just have so much hate for this game. Just... ugh.

But surley you must like Terminal Velocity's music.:o

I think she was perfectly clear when he said she liked Planet Wisp and Aquarium Park only.

I don't know if this I unpopular or popular but, I love the credits versions of planet wisp and seaside hill in generations much more than their modern and classic versions.

Even though I love transformed, I find myself coming back to all stars racing more....I think I like it more

Chip is my favorite of the guide characters. Whoops omachao that's for sure.

Oh and I like terminal velocity act 2 music more than 1.:/

I really like Chip, I don't think he's as annoying as people make him out to be. Granted his voice is a tad annoying but I think he's likable.

I also believe "Open Your Heart" is the best thing Crush 40 ever made. I'm so serious. None of the other themes did it for me like that one. This isn't nostalgia talking either.

And no, Terminal Velocity isn't my jam either. lol But thinking about it, Terminal Velocity is a pretty cool name.

I don't know what the general consensus in terms of favorite music, but I've never heard anyone flat out hate Open Your Heart.  That is, unless they just hated Crush 40 in general.  Anyway, it's probably one of my favorites by them if not my actual favorite as well.

The bumper car/kart sections from Twinkle Park of Sonic Adventure are terrible. I don't find anything fun about traveling through a linear road with little to no action on a vehicle that controls like Shadow the Hedgehog (2005 game). At least in Shadow you could jump to make turning less painful. I like the graphics of Sonic Heroes. I mean, hot damn, most stages are loud and colorful (ie Casino Park and Bingo Highway, which put Starlight Carnival to shame) and there's lots of stuff going on in the background, especially in Egg Fleet, with it's air ships. Sure, the characters were low-poly and look as if they were dipped in petroleum jelly, but they have this unexplainable charm to them in my eyes. Speaking of polygons, I think the limitations benefited the game's look, made it stylized, like how Derrick J Wyatt's designs are loaded with hexagons and other angled shapes.

Well, most people like "Open Your Heart", but they find other songs by them to be much better. Such as "Live and Learn" or "What I'm Made Of". Out of everything they've done, I feel like none of it is in the same class as "Open Your Heart". I believe I'm alone on that.

Another unpopular opinion: Sonic 2006's music... it's just okay. Granted I like it more now, but it's not as stellar people made it out to be. I remember when I finally heard Solaris Phase 2 and I was like, "What? It's an orchestrated version of the main theme? Are you serious?!" I was rather disappointed.

But the game has its hits, "Dreams of an Absolution" is fantastic.

I completely agree with the majority of people saying that Sonic CD was the best Sonic game ever. It was definitely the best Sonic game I had ever played.

I somehow disagree with critics saying that Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II was worse than Episode I. I thought it was even better. The physics and gameplay were much smoother, the level design looks realistic and had an awesome soundtrack.

Well, Sonic 4: Episode 2 seems to be a polished turd. So it being better than Episode 1 isn't really saying much.

This seems to be a Unpopular music opinion:

Rooftop Run Classic>Modern>Original

And (Popular one I agree with):

Crisis City Modern>Classic>Original

Every Classic remix in Sonic Generations is incredible.  Except maybe Green Hill and Time Eater.  The former being just great and the latter being lame.

Honestly, both Time Eater tracks are just there.

There's two versions of Time Eater?

I forgot over the constant yelling of, "THAT LOOKS LIKE A HOMING SHOT!!!"

Not sure if popular or not but I think Sonic 3 & Knuckles was the best Sonic game ever made. Since It had great level design, probably had the best soundtrack of all time and made Tails and Knuckles being fast as Sonic but having their unique abilities as well and of course, Hyper Sonic.

Speaking of Sonic 4, I liked both episodes.

I liked both too. But, I think that at least Episode I could be MUCH better. I played a lot of it, specially to get some good times on the leaderboards but I think Ep. I isn't really good game, it has a lot of flaws. It is still fun though.

As for Ep. II, I really like it. The only thing I don't like about it is the Boss music for Eggman( ugh...)

About popular opinions: I see a lot of people praising Sonic Battle (at least I saw that) and I can't just like that game.

are teenage girls responsible for 98% all fan-media?

Why almost all fanmedia of Sonic is Shoujo related crap???

WHY people wants to shove pointless, develpment-less out of character romance in everything?
