Sonic Dash (iOS/Android)

I'm echoing the sentiment that an Android version would be great as well.

I've got kinda stuck on Sonic Jump but I still play the levels I've already done like no-ones business. A Sonic running game for the ole tablet sounds fantastic.

Sonic Jump was alright, I mostly liked the art and graphics style. =P But I love games like Temple Run so if Sonic Dash is anything like that, count me in!

Yoshi Touch and Go.

Nothing special. Cool, but not nothing special or new.

Maybe... But to Sonic it is anyway.

I have a SEGA Press account, but the damn thing expired. It's like I have to reregister every 6 months.

I've never quite understood how it works. I'm certain my first account had expired quite a bit before Colours was even announced, while this second one has lasted ever since then. Not complaining of course.

This is actually quite funny

 - Sega:

New amazing mobile Sonic game announced! Now go to sega-press for more amazing details and stuff!

 - Fans:

Oh wow! That's awesome! Finally some info on that game!

...and then they go to sega-press only to find absolutely nothing.

Just another day with SEGA advertising.

SEGA: "Hey, we got a new game!"

Public: "Cool, what's it about?"

And then dead silence until it's released.

I wonder if it's another SEGA slip-up.

They only really announced it because it got leaked. iOS games usually aren't announced until shortly before they're actually released.

Maybe they really think it takes a few days for us to go to sega-press? xD

Just last week, eagle-eyed members of website The Sonic Stadium spotted a LinkedIn job listing that referenced an unannounced title called Sonic Dash.

Today, Sega officially announced its upcoming Seaside Hill-set endless-runner, and revealed that it will be available to download from the App Store "soon".

According to a press release from the studio, Sonic Dash has been created exclusively for mobile devices by Silver Award-winning Sonic Jump developer Hardlight.

Details are still a little scarce, but we know that this endless-runner will allow you to challenge your friends, enemies, and frenemies to beat your best distance and time records.

Naturally, we'll let you know as soon as it surfaces.

Is it specifically stated that the game is Seaside Hill based or is it just the writer basing this on the art?

That's just me basing it off the artwork. I haven't read the article yet XD

This happens every time SEGA announces a game. Pocket Gamer UK has got hold of stuff, yet I'm from the UK and there is nothing on SEGA Press.

Seaside Hill Zone is the new Green Hill Zone at this point.

It was one from the very beginning when it first appeared in Heroes.
