2D Disney Shorts making their way back in June

Maybe Iwan couldn't get that "classic" voice Disney wanted for these new shorts, so they got someone who does have the classic Mickey voice and decided for Iwan to resume his other roles for Mickey (Clubhouse, KH, Epic Mickey, ect) and have Chris voice Mickey for these new shorts.

Did something happen to Iwan, that could also be why he's not voicing Mickey in the shorts.

Where the heck was Pluto during all this?! Lousy dog...

Also the irony of a mouse chasing a cat. Lovely.

Mickey dealing with monkey business at a Chinese zoo while trying to take a picture of a weaselly panda cub. Hilarity ensues. I was kinda hoping for a Mulan reference, but still really good either way.

Though he could have gotten better panda pictures if he went to the zoo in Shirokuma Cafe.

It's gd to see Disney doing this as its been a while since we have seen Mickey and co on the small screen together, I think The Looney Tunes Show isn't is ok and gd to see them back on screen as well.

Great use of sounds and silence in this one and I just really like Mickey's interaction with Goofy along with the hockey shtick.

It's so sad, gotta proxy those videos to view in the UK ._.

But that one explained soooo much, considering his ears always face forward no matter what way his head faces. Gosh darn.

Loving these shorts so far :D My only "complaint" so to speak is that we rarely see the other characters. Don't get me wrong, I love Mickey of course...but most of the shorts have him and only him in them. That fact that we still haven't seen Pluto or Pete bothers me too, especially since we've seen their designs already. And where the heck does Mickey live? In "Gasp" he was in an apartment with his fish who acts like a certain dog I know...(pluto) and in the most recent short, "Bad Ear Day", he seems to be living somewhere else..

Mickey is the kind of traditional cartoon character that doesn't necessarily need a consistent home.  He just resides wherever the cartoon needs him to be.

I suppose. I guess I'm just a bit bias because I LOVE Mickey's original yellow house, which was seen in House of Mouse, Epic Mickey, and the Mickey's Toontown attraction at the Disney parks, just to name a few. I think a neighborhood for the main characters to live in would be nice. If these were 30 minute episodes then it would be a problem, but since they're shorts it's really no big deal.

A third Emmy win for Croissant de Triomphe

Disney’s Mickey Mouse short Croissant de Triomphe picked up another Emmy—its third one—for Outstanding Short-format Animated Program. The award was announced during the 65th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards, held on Sunday, September 15.

The short had already won two Emmys in the juried Individual Achievement category. The large number of Emmys won by the short does not necessarily mean that it is the best of the new Mickey shorts, but only that it was the short chosen by Disney to be submitted for Emmy consideration.

In the Outstanding Animated Program competition, South Park won for the episode “Raising the Bar.” It is the show’s fourth Emmy Award in that category. The series was competing against episodes of Bob’s Burgers, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, Regular Show, and The Simpsons.

Hopefully these Emmy wins will convince Disney to continue making shorts of Mickey and company.
