Werehog and Chip Concept Art

Please tell me if this is old to SSMB because I've never seen it posted here before. And please move this to a different forum if it's in the wrong place.

So I was looking for werehog pics through google and I came up with this website.

http://www.tssznews.com/2009/02/21/concept-art-unleashed/

You can get some nice previews here but the real juice in the blogs the article is talking about. I've only found once but it's a real treat if you're able to navigate through it all (It's in Japanese). I'll come back to this topic with more things that I've found but for now check out these posts.

Look for some interesting other concept art on those pages. Devil-tailed Sonic

Robots, rejected dark monster designs, and scenery drawings (very cute)

Night of the werehog production models and designs

Please discuss your opinions about the optional designs. I personally love looking at their style and it's weird to see him go from full figured to highly rendered monster. I also wish Chip didn't end up as a dog. I like that little ghost design (Whip) better so that way it'd fit with the deal in Night of the Werehog, but I can see that making Chip an animale would fit with the usual Sonic Character theme

Yeah, this was posted before on the old version of the forum before that massive crash and restart. I think it got a lot of comments before the crash, but I'm sure folks wouldn't mind taking a look at those again. They were pretty interesting to look at given the final outcome, especially the werehog's initial designs - my favorite one out of the whole thing were the ones with Sonic in chains. :D

Sonic The Yetihog XD. I missed those Chip & Werehog pics. Though those other ones from a blog I guess are cool & weren't posted on the original SSMB.

Edited by PSI Electric FTW!

Ah figured it wasn't real new new stuff, but stuff I hadn't seen before for sure. Thanks for the update.

The next phase will be to put loop-de-loops in random places which will serve no purpose to anyone that can't run super fast.

I like how they put all that realistic wear-and-tear on it, as opposed to looking all fresh and perfect. Really looks like something that's spent a few years outdoors, not mention getting rammed by a little blue guy going way too fast.

http://www.tssznews.com/wp-content/uploads.../blog0217_5.jpg <<<< Awwss.... That is AWESOME! Why didn't they do that one?

http://www.tssznews.com/wp-content/uploads.../blog0217_4.jpg <<<< Hahahaha. xD

http://www.tssznews.com/wp-content/uploads...090215_chip.jpg <<<< Kekekeke. interesting. (and that Sonic art in the middle is so adorable. x3)

http://www.sonicteam.co.jp/SonicWorldAdven.../blog0217_3.jpg <<<< HAAARRR. That's pretty badass. they could've used that one too.

Even though, I think the Werehog we got in the end is the coolest. (It's got the following factors: "WTF?" "Badass" "Sort of cute")

Now if only tht plushie they made was fluffy...

http://www.tssznews.com/wp-content/uploasd...090215_chip.jpg << This brings a good point. Look at the way they drew Sonic. You don't see the top quill but it jumps into the two bottom ones. Which is not what they've been drawing Sonic for a while. Makes me wonder if they redo Sonic's CGI model based on how he's drawn. His official art will always have the three showing but for one this is a good example of a front under view perspective. (IE they're pretty good at drawing Sonic to get a pose like that).
