Did you play the 3DS or Wii U version?

Well this is the 3DS version thread. so 9/10 its the 3DS version. the 1/10 is the chance this was placed in the wrong thread

My biggest issue with the 3DS version is how twitchy the controls look. Hopefully it plays better than it looks.

A demo will probably pop up on the eShop near release.

I believe Colours DS had an eShop demo just before release, though I could be wrong about that.

I'd personally like to see a city-themed stage.

I have a feeling we may end up seeing one.

Also I want to see and dungeon style Ice cavern. Would be nice to have a real ice stage again.

A city themed stage..? I don't think so. Planet Hex doesn't look like it has any cities.

Here is a picture of me playing it lol.

I played 3 different levels and for the life of me I really can't remember their names :(

But I'm pretty sure they were Green Hill Zone 1 and 2 and the other might have been Desert Palace Zone.

DON'T quote me on that!

judging from the picture taken you did play Wind Hill at least.

If you hadn't noticed Lost Hex has a food level in the desert zone and a casino level in the ice zone. Lets face it, any level trope has a possibility of showing up this point. Personally I'm waiting for a cyber space level in the water zone.

Even if we don't get one, I think we had more than enough in Gens. anyway.

Still can't believe a third of that game was city levels.

But on the 3DS version: While it looks good, I'm more hyped for the Wii U version (especially since not much 3DS footage has been released so far), but I'm still planning to get both versions anyway. I do wonder if there will be different returning Wisps in this version, though.

You must have played through Windy Hill and Desert Ruins. How was it? Is it any good?

My three favorite games all on one table. One which I own and Two which I will own. Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, Mario and Luigi Dream Team and Sonic Lost World 3DS

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know...

It has a Casino and Candy Land. But doesn't a city seem a bit too far fetched? I mean, this isn't Earth we are on here. Who would live there? The little woodland creatures?

There were like 30 cities in Sonic Generations. They can take a break from this game, please.

That casino zone has tall buildings there anyway - so I would consider that filling the city quota just nicely.

That's a pretty big over exaggeration (but I may be being biased since two of those three were my favorite levels from there games).

If both versions share the same story they could probably just have the same cutscenes in both versions but instead of rendering them in-engine they could just have them prerendered on the 3DS. Wasn't that what they did with Unleashed Wii? Gens 3DS had different levels than the HD version so obviously they couldn't do it there but that doesn't seem to be the case with Lost World. Even if it wouldn't be in 3D I'd still take it over the shitty cardboard cutouts and stock animations we got in Gens 3DS.
They did that for Colors DS's opening cutscene, too.

It's very possible. We have already had honeycomb, candy, and casino themed stages.

The casino trope is basically a sub division of a city trope so there is no point. and yes knowing this series its truly possible for woodland creatures to inhabit a city.

City themed stages have been in the majority of the main series Sonic games. I see no reason why it couldn't work here, especially as the game has already shown quite a few earthly themes.

As common as they were in generations, I'd actually like a city stage, imagine something City Escape/RooftopRun esque but with the parkour mechanics. I imagine it would be glorious!!!

After playing Mirrors Edge, I would love to see Sonic using his parkour moves on buildings. The city theme just seems like it could work really well with the parkour gameplay.
