Ryan can you upload or stream some 3DS footage?

Some gameplay for you guys who dont have Sonic Lost World in the U.S like me =P, Desert Ruins Zone 1 is way different from the demo, loving the sexiness of it all, its way better than the Wii U version's Desert Ruins Zone 1.

Zazz boss fight included(I look epic)

Whoops they done goofed a bit.  I'm on Silent Forest now - but due to there not being any mid-bosses (apart from the little "survival match" with Zazz in Windy Hill), Zeena complains that Sonic ruined her nail design the last time they met - when this is the first time they've met in the 3DS version.

On the subject of bosses and cut-scenes though, I find it funny that the bosses actually have (not perfect but there) lip-sync for their little lines before and after the boss battles on 3DS, but on Wii U they didn't bother and happily have the Deadly Six taunt you with their mouths quite firmly closed.

Yeah, it would have made a little more sense if there were more "survival matches" for the other D6 members. Nice about the lip syncing.

Is it true that the intro scene for Zor in Silent Forest Act 2 is missing in this version, same thing with Zeena and her nails?

The Deadly Six mechs technically count in the zones though, Zazz survival match in Windy Hill counts as a mini boss, Zomom's lego head in Desert Ruins counts as a Deadly Six boss obstacle, Master Zik's fruit doesnt really count in Tropical Coast..

Zeena's giant ass snowman head thing in Frozen Factory Zone 3 is a Deadly Six boss obstacle, Zor's owl heads are stalking you so you gotta be incognito, thats a Deadly Six boss obstacle & then you have Zavok's dragons that shoot at you during Sky Road which counts as a mini boss obstacle.

So yea we got some sorta Deadly Six mini boss action up in there. And tell us how Silent Forest goes =D, is the Gray Quake gyroscope control good? Describe Silent Forest Zone 1, 2 & 3, and does Silent Forest have any purple light switch ruins design sorta like the Wii U version? (These questions are for when you beat Silent Forest)

OOOOOOOOOO KILL EMMM, this guy owned Windy Hill Zone 2 & 3 like shit, and im so loving Windy Hill 3DS right now, especially since both Windy Hill Zone 2 & 3 look better in the 3DS version, too much shit to point out, FFFF.

I've played two acts of Silent Forest so far.  Act 1 is a puzzley stage making heavy use of the Quake Wisp, Act 2 is a grind-fest similar to Tropical Coast Act 3 on Wii U, but making use of Lightning Wisp and Lightning Shields to ride on electrified rails if you're clever.

Quake Wisp controls are... eehhh a bit awkward.  Very important to remember is when in Wisp form, you can tap the icon of Sonic's head on the touch screen to change back to normal.  There's tons of Quake Wisps around, and you can never get stuck without one, so make careful use of cancelling the power early if you're headed for a cliff, as Quake Wisp moves forward automatically, and you steer with the Gyro.

Overall it works fine, the only awkward part is when you do a ground pound, you get a brief moment to sharply change direction.  Think of it like uhh... if you've played Zelda Wind Waker, when you jump into one of the shooty flowers.  You get a brief moment to swivel on the spot before you're off again.  The problem is, the gyro controls during this moment have no subtley - you spin round at a very quick and fixed speed, in whatever direction you're vaguely tilting the 3DS.  It's easy to switch directions by accident, or overshoot when intentionally trying to turn.  Luckily, the first 5 minute chunk of play with Quake Wisp has no bottomless pits, so you get plenty of time to get used to it.  As said, it is a Wisp best used carefully - if you don't NEED Quake Wisp to get through, you can navigate just fine as Sonic, there's usually another Wisp up ahead near whatever obstacle you need to take down with it next.

To make a direct comparison, if anyone here played Sonic 4 on Wii or PS3, you'll remember how awful the special stage motion controls were.  Tilting the controller in any form made the maze spin at the regular speed, like holding down L or R in regular controls.  Quake Wisp swivels round after ground pounds in the same way.

You keep me soo hyped for some of these zones

You keep me soo hyped for some of these zones

Also, do me a favor & go back to Desert Ruins Zone 3 now that you've gotten the Gray Quake & see if things change up in the zone more, like maybe you could get bounced off to a Honeycomb =P

And im so happy you told me that Silent Forest Zone 2 was a grind fest, I got nervous the 3DS version wasnt gonna have alot of good grinding zones so yea thx. Was the grind stage fun & were you doing good timing jumps between rails? Also were you able to make use of Ivory Lighting & Lightning Shields really well?

I won't head back to old zones til I've finished the story.  As for the grind fest, yeah it was a pretty good stage.  I prefer the Wii U one in this case as, like many of 3DS' levels, it dragged on just a smidge too long, but the electricity stuff was really fun yeah.  The 3DS one also breaks up the action with ground sections where you have to beat a bunch of enemies to progress, which I confess, were really not needed.

Im guessing one of those ground sections had you face a mini boss with a turtle cannon?

Your gonna real enjoy Sky Road, I can feel im gonna enjoy it also, it looks so fucking amazing. And yea those things look like a chore, most of the big enemies in this game are a real pain, especially those worms in Desert Ruins.. Anyway heres some of the zones where wisps appear when your around Silent Forest that you can go back on if you want to collect Red Rings & explore more:

Desert Ruins Zone 2: Drill Sections unlocks

Desert Ruins Zone 3: Quaking unlocked, (Is it true that the Gray Quake can roll up walls like its description, havent seen that yet. I saw it do a sorta Spindash that shoots it off in a direction after it makes a quake.)

Tropical Coast Zone 2: Ivory Lightning sections unlocked(I really enjoyed watching this zone, it has the factory theme like its Wii U counterpart which got me excited, & I love the battle royal type of deal it had, wonder how Lightning affects the zone though..

I find it weird that for the 3DS version you have to unlock the wisps first, it adds a shit ton of replayability but its sorta strange..

GOT DAMN IS SUPER SONIC OP, HES A FREAKING MOVING SPINDASH & IT LOOKS LIKE HE CAN PARKOUR WITHOUT STOPPING =O

Well, Sonic Colours Wii and DS did the same thing when they came out.

And HELL'S YES, Super Sonic looks like such an OP'd boss. Constant parkour? All of my yes.

Sounds good. I assume you're on Act 3? Or did you make it to the boss yet?

Aww sorry guys I'm late for the party =P.

(sorry if this was posted before) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=by-CVjZO9aI

Wow, after seeing all that gameplay, now I'm digging WAAAY more the 3DS version, even more than the Wii U version.

Seriously, the 3DS version looks WAAAY more challenging and fun TO ME, and the zones are really open and expansive, just look at Desert Ruins 1, which is a fucking blast. Seriously, you get a fucking bunch of paths to choose, it's challenging, it has some pretty neat music, and its FUCKING EXPANSIVE.

The special stages look gorgeous but the obligatory use of the gyroscope wasn't the best idea they could've come up with =P, yet, they actually look fun and not as hard as some say.

The giant badnik stuff, though it wasn't necessary, I don't mind it at all, I think they actually give a bit more of challenge to the levels more than just slowing down the pace of it, except for those blue giant katerkiller, which is really a joke, but at least it looks cool (like everything in this game).

Gosh, I'm so hype for this game it would be pretty rough to me to wait until October 29th...

So apparently Super Sonic's skills are

Faster Speed, Speed Shoes+Spindash=Super Sonic Speed

Enhanced Parkour: Never gets tired & can indefinetly run up & across walls unless you run out of wall or hit the top of a wall

Homing Attack: Faster & can home in a little longer

Music: Epic, not annoying like Sonic Color's Super Sonic theme

Invincibility & Extra Shit: If you got tired of annoying mini bosses or random enemy placement or using wisps, you can have fun with all of that while your Supa Sawnic

Yep, especially Tropical Coast, we haven't even seen more than a few seconds =P. And Frozen Factory...yeah still wondering about the next levels. I actually think Frozen Factory 3DS is actually a Frozen Factory; first, a beautiful-looking Windy Hill on Winter, then, a complete factory with barely natural segments (pretty much like Planet Wisp), but Wii U's Frozen Factory's more like Mecha Windy Hill on winter, not saying that's bad though.

Just finished Sky Road Act 2.  I love that they put Frozen Factory's missing Casino trope here instead of a full on Windy Hill rehash.  Having said that the perspective was painfully far away during some Asteroid + Cloud puzzles, but they became a lot less frustrating when I realised I could just hold down A to get the cloud boost as Asteroid, you don't have to time it like with regular Sonic.

Also unlocked Super Sonic.  After all my complaining, Special Stage 7 turned out to be tough, but I did it on first try.

Tried him out on Windy Hill... I dunno what the video implied but he DOES get tired on parkouring, I guess the player in the video was just good at timing their boosts.  It'd make no sense for him to not get tired actually, or you could climb up walls that aren't meant to be climbed up etc.  He handles just as crisply as regular Sonic.

See the thing is, when going fast in this game it CAN be easy to slip off the edge sometimes, but since, unlike the Wii U version, you can double jump without having to do a first jump (i.e. just run off a ledge, you can do a jump in mid-air), it's easy to correct yourself back onto the path.

Also unlike Sonic Colours, Super Sonic CAN use Wisps.  It cancels out his Superness of course, but point is they haven't removed half the level design and replaced it with springs.

Done for the night now as alas I have work tomorrow.  I'm sure someone will beat me to it in the meantime, but if not I'll give you guys impressions of the finale tomorrow evening.

By the way, now I know what the trick is to them, the Special Stages are genuinely fun if you can bare to stand up in the middle of the room to play them.  Shame there's not much compatibility for playing them on the go.

Ya might wanna watch that 120 min gameplay, it has the whole Desert Ruins & Tropical Coast, only catch is that you unlock wisps as you progress.
