And, exactly why am I being so explosively assaulted for saying that we should have a different trope?

Aw, don't be like that, man. Your original statement was rather vague -- seriously, what would have you had there instead of the casino trope?

I just gotta say, This Casino level actually looks more interesting aesthetically and design wise than quite a few of the Generations levels from what I have seen. This is on par actually from the looks of it with Generations!

In the immortal words of Kendrick Lamar: Bitch, don't kill my vibe. But seriously, I'm still of the mindset that there's going to be six main acts for each area and no missions considering they've not mentioned them yet. Final boss being bad? Yeah, they're pretty much around one for eight in that department.

They DID mention that the animals you saved would be a main part of extra game content, so it's still up in the air at this point.

I'm pretty sure Sega is just making up for the lack of a casino level in Generations. And I'm not complaining one bit, it looks beautiful.

...I still don't get how they could've left out a casino level. I mean, really.

I gotta say I find it hilarious at how Lost World is doing an exceptionally better job at being "Classic" than Generations.

...and that's one of the problerms I have with this game.

It's good at being Classic. Therefore it's bad because it is doing something well?

Edit:Also

Meh, I was never a big fan of the casino-themed levels in Sonic games, but that's just me. Aesthetically, the only level in the game I seem to like the design of is the jungle one.
Can I ask why? What is so un-interesting about all the other levels we've seen?  Especially this one?  Edited by Young Xehanort

The Casino level looks absolutely amazing. First thing that came in my mind, Sonic Team wanted Casino Night in Sonic Gens HD, but the level got scrapped for some reason, maybe memory/space. Perhaps they were going to release it as DLC (since CNZ already was in Gens, but as a minigame, so it does makes sense), but decided to put it in Lost World instead to please us, since they know very well how much we've asked for more levels. And makes even more sense, since a Casino level doesn't really fit anywhere in Lost Hex, at least for that screenshot we have (then again, neither does the candy level, but maybe it's some kind of dream, or the head of Grimmace?).

Anyway, can't wait for that game, I have to start saving money for that damn Wii U D=

I guess this is the generic screenshot topic?

I've been away for 2 weeks but I'm pretty sure this is brand new stuff...

CASINO ZONE INCOMING.

Not sure on the origin of these, I saw them being posted to the TSS Network group on Facebook, just asked where they came from.

The new trailer the other day increased me hype but this has sent it flying. We haven't had a Casino Zone in a main series title in A DECADE. It looks absolutely fantastic, and very 90's Sonic.

Correct me if I'm wrong!

A casino level in 3D sonic game, thats pretty co..WAIT

CASINO LEVEL IN A 3D SONIC GAME! WHAT IS THIS ANGELIC BEAUTY I AM LOOKING AT!??

I was JUST talking to my friend about  Lost World earlier and mentioned that this year was the 10th anniversary of Heroes and that putting a Casino Park style zone in Lost World would be a nice subtle prod at the game. I mean SERIOUSLY it has been 10 years since the last 3D Casino level.

10 YEARS

I swear, everything thing I see in this game makes me want it more and more. The Colors trailer, Eagle, Asteroid, and Rhythm all look good. The Jungle, Pyramid, and Ruins zones all look GREAT! The gameplay looks AWESOME, and FINALLY a new casino level in a 3D sonic which is OUTSTANDING. Now if this has actual pinball and rolling physics in the stages then my head will explode because that would be AMAZING!!

Gonna mimic what everyone else is saying: This is beautiful!!!! It's been way too long since we had a DECENT casino level.

I always wondered why Sonic Colors didn't have one. The casino trope would've fit right in with the theme park design.

And keep in mind that each area has multiple tropes. The "Desert Ruins" world has:

- dessert

- beehives

- actual desert

- ancient pyramid

that's all in one world !

Dammit, why did this have to be on the Wii U? At least there's still the 3DS version made by Dimps!

That means we might see this baby again as part of the Casino!

I still have no idea what a Beehive or a Food trope has to actually do with a DESERT stage.:P

Honey is vaguely related to sweets... Which leads to the Dessert pun. I don't know Japanese game developers are crazy haha.

More lovely graphics as usual! Then again I'm easily impressed.

...I do wish the Badniks looked a bit more complex but hey can't win everything now can I?

Speaking of which.

Why is Sonic fighting them? Wasn't he supposed to team up with Eggman?

This tells us how bull this partnership is.

The beehive's "ground" looks a bit like popsicle sticks if you look at them closely, so ... kinda "dessert-y".

Reminds me of Shadow the hedgehog with the "team-ups" you made.
