The bumpers in Casino Night can send you places you didn't mean to go, but the level was easy so I never found that too frustrating, personally. 

That level's fun if you use the propellor pimp smack shortcut.

Oh that was definitely my most hated level before I learnt the timing for it. It's been easy to me ever since. I guess Casino Night is easy to me now too, but there's less certainty in movements when you're being bounded around by every wall

When you see the first chicken, jump and get the high-up monitor. Then grind your face into the blades on purpose, jump through to the platforming section. Then if you want to be pro as f***, Spin Dash jump over the gap instead of using that annoying metal flinging thing.

I'm starting to wonder if the Casino stage in Lost World's going to be part of its own series of levels, or it's going to be randomly added to an inappropriately named zone- like, are we gonna see it in the snow level or something?

 

Maybe it's an extra level that's unlockable by collecting Red Rings and/or the Animal Friends?

 

Or maybe it's even an unlockable level taking place back on Earth, and applying the Lost World gameplay in select 'traditional' environments.

Not sure on the origin of these, I saw them being posted to the TSS Network group on Facebook, just asked where they came from.

The new trailer the other day increased me hype but this has sent it flying. We haven't had a Casino Zone in a main series title in A DECADE. It looks absolutely fantastic, and very 90's Sonic.

ZONE 1: 3D Casino in the style of Casino Park

ZONE 2: 2D pinball table you have to go through like in Sonic 2 Casino Night

ZONE 3: Auto Run through a sewer underneath the casino through vents trying to avoid all kinds of hazards that were thrown away from the casino in the style of Casinopolis

There are neon palm trees among the other signs, so the level most likely will take place on the beach zone. Maybe a Casino Resort, perhaps?

Okay, looking at this screenshot again (b/c I really love it for some reason looool):

 

 

It looks almost like the wheel is chasing him?? Maybe you have some method of making sure it lands on one of the results, or maybe it's simply a part of a broken slot machine chasing Sonic? It's fun just speculating but I really wanna know!

That could possibly be it, though I know neon palm trees are actually quite a common thing for casino design too, so it could just be there to fill the casino look.

 

I'd love that though if it was apart of the Windy Hill area, mostly because the game would be welcoming you with a bunch of familiar Sonic tropes before diving you into new and original worlds. So like a healthy mix of nostalgia and new I guess *shrugface*

Ha, that sounds like a cute idea actually. You could even give it an in-universe explanation: everything in Windy Hill was set up by Eggman and/or the Deadly Six to ""welcome"" Sonic in some familiar areas.

 

And by "welcome", I mean "ruthlessly murder", in case it isn't obvious.

I really don't like Desert Ruins at the moment. It has so much space that is devoid of anything interesting.

The drugged out cactus has convinced me that Desert Ruins is controlled by Zomom and he is free to manipulate it, and the licorice road level and honeycomb level are just attempts at slowing Sonic down while making puns on desert and dessert at the same time.

This gives me a really huge Classic vibe, the small loop and booster pad and running animation don't help.

 

This gives me feels of the Scarecrow missions from Arkham Asylum, where you have to avoid being spotted by him. I'm guessing that's the case, with a huge search light and obstacles to hide behind, how could it not?
