Other stages on show include Silent Forest and Desert Ruins while Sonic also showcases new and old Colour Powers.

The Jungle level is officially called "Silent Forest." Neato!

The new shots look fantastic. Some people may have a problem with Lost World's art style or gameplay mechanics, but damn it I hope we can at least give SEGA some credit for not just playing it safe. This is easily the boldest 3D Sonic game to date

Silent Forest, eh...?

I like it!!! Hopefully, since we don't have the boost anymore, you can crouch on rails to increase your speed like SA2 and Heroes. And I can't wait to hear the music.

The new art style, the new characters, the new gameplay.

 

They're making new ideas, doing their best, hitting all the sweet spots.

Besides Honeycomb Highway over there, no. But he's talking about art direction, gameplay style, new villains and the huge amount of variety.

The Pawns look fine I guess, but I'm not a fan of this chibification of the badniks in general... They look so benign. =/

I think the owl stage would make more sense as Silent Forest, given the supposed stealth elements and the fact that it is more of a forest than the jungle stage is.

I am just gonna say it right now...

 

I can finally feel it again.

 

Finally I feel that Sonic Team has gotten it's confidence back. This seems to have  so much energy, care and love put into it, it's incredible.  I haven't sensed this from them since Sonic Unleashed! That alone is reason enough for me to stay optimistic. Man, I am excited to see more of this!

Well, that's the name for the overall World. Just like Desert Ruins is the name of the candy level and the honeycomb level as well.

Its the back of one of those Casino Night Badniks by the looks of it.

These screens are just gorgeous, so many things in this game I really dig. The badniks, animal friends, the levels look lovely, classic stuff too. I like seeing Classic Robotnik in the Casino theme level. Have we seen Doctor Eggman yet, might he have a new look? I only say this as he's not been seen in this game yet.

I think that's Crawler from the behind.

You can see the claw and bumper from behind. The yellow circle is probably the sweet spot to defeat it.

Whoever he is, the idiot appears to be facing the wrong way! =P

 

EDIT: Oh, one of the redesigned Crawlers. They pal up quite well with the Pawns.

It looks like some kind of fusion between Caterkillar and Sandworm, but with large pincers.

Yeah. But I think in that particular situation, Sonic's running from that twister, so...

 

...nah. Nope. Still doesn't justify it. A booster here and there is a-ok by me, but not this many.
