Considering what we've seen from Lost World, I wonder why Sega felt that they needed to add a dash pad after. Sonic from what we've seen can gain his own speed without the use of them.

But yea, if there's one thing Sonic Team should learn, at the very least, have enviromental and aesthetic based speed boosters if they feel the need to prop them everywhere.
