Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS - Settle It In Smash!

I hope we get some Adventure tracks in, and especially a remix. Emerald Coast and Speed Highway would be nice fits, and we can even have Lost World's music in the Lost World level!

Speaking of which does anyone else think Windy Hill looks even more plastic in this game than Lost World itself?

But Nintendo would never let a City theme go with a Grassy Hills/Forest trope.(In all seriousness, this is probably true)

As I said before, I'm still hoping for some Unleashed representation. That thing has some badass tracks that would be perfect for this game. Colors and lost world is a given, but I really am hoping for Unleashed. (And a generations remix) Having SA-Heroes tracks remixed would be a bonus!

Also yeah, Windy Hill in SSB4 is different from the actual games version. It's obvious when you look at the candy corn looking flowers and trees. The Lost World version is more colorful, saturated and busy. This one goes for a more realistic style to fit with the rest of the game.

Generation was filled to the brim with World 1-1 Music Representation, sometimes 1-2 like with Savannah Citadel and Sweet Mountain. Reason Green Forest made the cut was because Escape From the City was already being used in a regular stage and SA2 only had Metal Harbor otherwise.

Smash dives a bit deeper than 1-1 Representatives and other iconic for music (Pokemon DP's Route 209 certainly comes to mind), but even then, Green Forest doesn't have the notability as, say, Chemical Plant or Adventure's Panic Puppet Act 1 remix.

Regardless, Colors, Sonic 4 Episodes 1 and 2, and "original" Generations music are gonna take priority for the Lost World stage after Lost World's selected music is added. Windy Hill's a current-era stage, so music from relatively current-era games call shotgun.

Your mention of Sonic 3D remixes has made me hope for Windy Valley's Green Grove Act 1 remix. If you're right and only music from recently released games are chosen; that could also mean CD music (although that would likely just mean Palmtree Panic again =/). I'm hoping for music across the franchise's history though and for more stage themes than vocal ones this time around.

Yeah I found the vocal themes to be really unfitting in Brawl, especially Seven Rings in Hand.

Except Sonic Boom of course, that song worked for a fighting scenario surprisingly well.

Lets not also forget that the 3DS version may have different tracks to go with those stages.

Hopefully the 3DS will get a casino stage.

The song choice would be much better too.

Casinopolis

Casino Night(Gens remix)

Ska Cha Cha(CD quality version)

Frozen Factory(the casino act)

Sonic Pinball Table(Casinopolis)

Welp, I hope they don't fuck it up.

A Sonic Advance level would be cool. It's the first new Sonic on a Nintendo console, so I think it has a pretty big meaning.

We'll probably just get a Lost World level, though. :-/

I think Colors would be cool. I mean tropical resort is in both Sonic Colors DS and Generations DS.

Yeah, and I hated that. I'd rather have something that actually represents the handheld games. Generations 3DS had only one level that I'd count as doing that.

Technically, they could get away with adding any stage from Generations DS and calling it a "handheld" stage. Since only the "modern" era was handhelds anyway, they could ultimately add a console stage based on a remade version of said stage that happened to appear in Generations DS. Ocarina of Time, originally a console game, got into Smash Bros. 3DS because of Ocarina of Time 3D, the same could easily be done with Generations DS.

Hopefully that's not the case, but its kinda doubtful. The best case scenario would probably be a stage from one of the Rush games (preferable not the same one in Generations DS).

I just hope that the Windy Hill ugh stage has a better selection of songs than Green Hill Zone. I mean they fucked up with GHZ when they filled it with main themes & genesis music.(none of the good Adventure 1 or 2 tracks were added. Also, who the fuck wants the heroes main theme before Seaside Hill/Ocean Palace/Seagate?)

While I'll agree for the most part that majority of the tracks were lackluster, I don't know about you but Open Your Heart and Live and Learn are some pretty damn good tracks though.

Now my real problem is that those tracks were severely shortened so that all the awesome solos were taken out (most likely due to disc space).

They're good but they don't really work well as a theme for Green Hill Zone in a fighter. The fact that they are shortened makes them worse too. Also, I was talking more about stage themes like Emerald Coast.

Holy shit, those canines.

I'm all for going for detail, but I think we went too far.

And it looks like Fox is enjoying the shooting. Compared to him in Brawl where he's all meh about it.

I really hope that new blaster is teasing a new Star Fox game.

Star Fox Adventures 2. Now with added Blaster Gameplay.

Fox's fur texture on his hands looks kinda ugly though.

He looks just as frustrated with his lack of relevancy as I am.

He must be aiming at Miyamoto.

yeah, I'm not a fan of those fur textures either. Looks like old wrinkly skin opposed to actual fur. Given, developer camera and whatnot but yeah....old man Mcloud over here.

So Sonic in Brawl took some inspiration from his Sonic the Fighters moveset, but that was the extent of it.

Smash 4, they went a bit further.

See how good Nintendo is at Details? To be this good takes AGES. To be this good takes SEGA Nintendo.
