He's just being hit hard. There are large colored effects that show up now that correspond to what player will receive the point for the KO.

Yeah, probably just white or something.

I wouldve thought the K.O. / Knockback color would be the same as the ones on the site. And yeah Im guessing the CPU has white/grey.

A CPU still takes up a controller slot; you can change it so that the CPU is P3, P4, even P1. So the CPU will likely have the corresponding color regardless.

Toon Link from the last picture was blasted straight up to Skyloft, apparently.

The game is like Highlander - chop off their head, inherit their power. Thus it is an image of Link within the throes of the Quickening.

Thats cause they replace it for the next image, literally "deleting" any previous ones. Y´know like having smash.jpg, change it and save it with the same name and.... you get the point!

 

Skyloft looks pretty dynamic :3

it wasnt really a controversy, they just didnt think to ask/tell nintendo what they were doing, there was confusion, then it all got fixed
