Plant Kingdom with the Ghost Rex screwing you over?

Hmm, actually now that I think about it SRA is lacking in stages that are good for representing the franchise on the whole.  None of them are super iconic, they're all very unique, even the plain ole green level like Plant Kingdom.

Maybe Colours would be better.

I would argue Haunted Ship maybe. But yeah, Rush is more well-known than Rush Adventure.

How about Radical Highway? It's one of the more iconic city-themed levels in the series and it also just appeared in Generations 3DS. It could fulfill the "big city stage" role that Fourside had in Melee.

You'd fight on the highway with some of the metal construction beams acting as platforms, but there'd also be some of those rising and falling hexagonal platforms on the side. The "Got Ring?" blimp would occasionally fly overhead and fighter jets could potentially come and shoot at players as a stage hazard.

I really wouldn't mind if Final Fortress was chosen as a stage since it also appeared on generations 3ds. It would be cool to fight on top of the whale shark fleet and maybe Metal Sonjc or the Egg Emporer can act as the mini boss for the stage.

Or they could surprise us and give us a stage from the advance trilogy! A guy can dream.

If they chose Water Palace for the 3DS(based on the Generations one), they could easily also include a Windmill Isle remix for that stage, and I would love to hear that remixed. If not that stage, I guess something from Colors. Planet Wisp or Tropical Resort with a Terminal Velocity remix please!

Also for Wii U, I hope they do a instrumental remix of Endless Possibilities.

So basically it now seems like there is no downside to using the C-Stick for Smash Attacks. Interesting.

I'm actually curious if modes like 2p endless modes will have online like in brawl. Even though the online wasn't the greatest it was fun.

Except you can charge Smash Attacks with the C-Stick in Melee and Brawl too.  Just hold Z or A immediately after flicking the C-Stick.

I think they mean that if you hold the C-Stick itself in the direction of your Smash Attack, it'll charge. That isn't something you could do in Melee/Brawl.

Aye that's probably the case.  Helps make the input a little more convenient I guess.

I always thought the cstick was meant for a quick smash attack and wasn't intended to be charged at least in melee

Yeah it kind of feels like a downgrade since the C stick was a good way to get off a quick smash attack without the delay you got from the charge. Not really a hard hit for me since I don't use it too much but its going to suck for those who use it more often.

Funny that we mention the Lost World stage music today, since all day at work today I was kinda thinking about it haha. Might be a weird and unpopular choice, but if there's more Lost World music representation other than Windy Hill, I was kinda hoping it'd be Juice Archipelago. It's not really the most upbeat and blood-racing song in the world, but I always thought that song was really fun and festive sounding, and fighting along to it would be the same kinda bliss as fighting to like Mario Sunshine music. Just super tropical and fun in general *shrugs*.

But for different junk, I'm definitely in the boat of more remixes this time, and things that fit. Someone mentioned the Scrap Brain thing in GHZ in Brawl and I too always felt that was weird (to the point where I turned it off lmao). Not saying that I'd want all tropical green hill-esque music for Lost World, but at least things that somewhat fit I guess. Like Generation's Rooftop Run would probably fit, as well as quite a few Sonic the Fighter tracks, Aquarium Park Act 1, Deep Woods/Misty Lake from Black Knight, Metal Harbor, and just a bunch of things I feel, just as long as they weren't uberly specific sounding to an environment like many factory-esque things or like ice-levels and whatnot. Should totally remix Sonic 1 (8-bit)'s Bridge or Jungle theme that'd be like the fucking best for me btw haha.

I'm hoping the 3DS level for Sonic is something more classic Sonic oriented however, and not named Green Hill Zone. If they only have two music tracks on the 3DS, I just hope they don't pick a Generations level, and then lazy their way out and use the Modern and Classic versions of the song for the stage. Have they said how many songs would be for the Wii U levels btw?

Anyway, I'm sure what ever is chosen I'll love, but I like to dream too ;;

It'll probably be no limit to music list for Wii u.

I remember Snake and Sonic stages were the only ones reaching over ten songs I think.

So hopefully the 3rd partiers can get their special treatment to extra amount of songs again. I can't say the same for pacman though since his wii u stage is kinda off LOL so I'm more towards Sonic music.

Out of the three party stages, which one looks good? LOL I think this is obvious because windy hill is actually a decent looking stage with no over the top hazards like the yellow devil and no auto scrolling like pacmans stage.

I'd rather have a mechanical stage for the 3DS version. Planet Wisp, Frozen Factory, Launch Base, even Casino Night would work. Sonic has always been about this whole contrast between nature and man-made stuff (moreso in the classic games, but it's still there today) and a mechanical stage would just represent the franchise as a whole a lot better than another Green Hill Clone.

Actually now that I think about it Casino Night/Park would make a lot of sense...Next to the green hill motif, Casino is the most recognized sonic level trope..especially classic-wise. And I don't think it overlaps with the other 3DS levels revealed so far.

I dunno I'd love Blizzard Peaks with IceCap elements would rock personally..Y'know what I'd love...Aquarium Park.

Pic of the day. Is this a match made in heaven?

Sakurai, no. Stop.

Remember, no matter how big you may be, there is always someone bigger.

Cue the Ridley macros.

Man what a loaded pic of the day, from this simple thing we can infer that Sakurai ships Rosalina with that Fairy person from Pac-Land, and we can infer that Sakurai thinks it's possible to be bigger than Ridley, which is the most bold-faced lie he's told to this day and he knows it.

I know they weren't exactly going to do the classic maze twice for Pacman, but dear god could they possibly have chosen a Pacman stage that doesn't look like complete and utter ass? Or at least one in which we can actually see where the fucking floor is?

Its a flat scrolling stage with obstacles, I don't think the need to see where the floor is will be that much of any issue.

My thoughts exactly. I know it's supposed to be from Pac-Land (which I've never played btw) but why on earth does it look like something made in MS Paint? It's so flat and icky. I know for a fact that the maze level is a much better choice than whatever the hell this is! Thank God the latter is in the 3DS version.

While it's iconic enough that I wouldn't mind having it in both versions, we are getting a Pacman maze stage on 3DS remember:
