I wanted tomorrow's direct to be a complete surprise to me, but my Youtube subscription box doesn't allow it.

Damn you thumbnails.

Nevertheless, it's still REALLY cool. To see Ryu, Roy and these costumes.

Except it's not really worth doing the inputs compared to the fraction of a second needed to do a basic input unless you're zoning

it kind of leaves you at a frame disadvantage

except maybe for a DP version of Shoryuken but the range on that kinda blows in a game like smash

Do we know if Arcade controllers are compatible with the WiiU? 'cause in that case, pros like Maximilian will have a huuge advantage using Ryu.

I'd also like to go over this

So this means that all of Ryu's powered up specials are:

EX Hadouken -  236B ( Quarter Circle Forward + B )

Shakunetsu Hadouken - 21236B ( Down to Down-Back followed by Quarter Circle Forward + B )

EX Shoryuken - 623B ( Dragon Punch + B )

EX Tatsumaki Senpukyaku - 214B ( Quarter Circle Backwards + B )

(They'll probably send you in the inverse direction of the one you're facing (as in, the wrong way) due to the input to compensate, granted that you do the input right.)

Man. Poor Luigi.

Clearly he's learning to perfect his own Shoryuken.

I'm considering getting a Wii U after the PS4. Damn, tourney mode. I was hoping for something like that since the beginning.

Guys guys guys! Ryu, Roy, Lucas and more are available to download TODAY!

Might take a while though cos of so many people rushing to get them.

I'm happy to leave my downloading til later (I haven't even gotten round to grabbing Mewtwo on Wii U yet whoops lol) so no rush here.  Looking forward to trying out the new stages more than the new fighters, of course.

More N64 stages on the way is nice.  They're so much more gentle to fight on than many newer stages that they're worthy additions.  I hope we continue to get a remix or two with each one.

I'd really like one or two more brand new stages though too.

Ryu and Roy's profiles are up!

Ryu actually has a guide on how to do his moves on his profile, neat!

Remind me of the old day of the Smash Dojo.

Amazing artwork, but uhhh...Wii Fit Trainer is looking kinda creepy there. I didn't even recognise her at first. O_o

But yeah, it was all good stuff. Shame the hype was lost a bit with Ryu and Roy's reveals (thanks leakers...) but it was still nice to see how they played. It's interesting that Ryu can pull off his moves in the traditional Arcade way, which makes them stronger then if you simply pressed B for Hadouken. They did a good job with him and I like his addition to this game a LOT more than Roy.

Also, I can't believe they're even releasing Amiibo of the Mii's! Talk about eating up my wallet Nintendo, argh...though I do like how G&W has different stands to change, it's cool and makes him stand out from other Amiibo.

Man, I fucking love that Smash Ryu art for numerous reason! I want that thing on my wall!

Anyway, a nice update! I'm definitely downloading all the characters since I'm curious on using Ryu with how he works similar to the Street Fighter formula. Plus, Roy since I used him WAY more than I used Marth in Melee. From what it seem, it looks like they Brawlified him a bit to where his moves doesn't resemble Marth's to a T anymore. Which I like.

Also lol at Roy attacking Koopaling Roy in the trailer.

I still have 1€ on my Nintendo account, so I only need a 15€ card to get the 3 characters + Dreamland [emoji2]

Not enough for the Zero and .EXE costumes, though. [emoji31]

How big is the update?
