Sonic Lost World - NA: October 29th [DELAYED!]

That date is for Skylanders. Holiday 2013 below is for Lost World. The press release seems to have been formatted incorrectly when copy and pasting. For example, Planes' release date is August 6th, not 18th.

GameInformer says Oct 13th as well, maybe they got it from that PR or Sega confirmed it to them? Maybe from the booth?

Anybody know anywhere in France where I can pre-order? Amazon FR doesn't have the listing yet.

There's months and months to release, so there's really no need to rush out and pre-order. Bide your time a bit and see where's cheapest, so you don't waste time ordering at all these different places and cancelling them. It's not even on Micromania yet.

Lots of sites are saying October 13th after the mix up that all followed that GoNintendo thing. Trust me, it's simply Holiday 2013 for now. If SEGA had released a solid date it would be on their website.

Did Wii U games always cost £45?

Nintendo ones have an RRP of £50, which Lost World could very well be classed as in Europe. But there's always ShopTo to the rescue. It's £37.85 there.

Thanks a lot. I guess I'll get the 3DS version here too.

No news about special's/collector's edition nor pre-order bonus anywhere right?

Nothing yet. Although Colours, Generations, Classic Collection and 2012 Olympics had them, I'm not so sure about this one with Nintendo's publishing involvement. Finger's crossed though! :D

Amazon US has the random ass place holder as December 17th. Knowing that it's a Sonic game, an early to mid November release date is far more likely.

There's a bunch of random dates floating around... let's see

Video Games Plus (Canada): 15/10/13

Xtralife (Spain): 06/11/13

Mighty Ape (New Zealand): 29/11/13

Amazon (USA): 17/12/13

GameStop (USA): 31/12/13

Zavvi (UK): 25/10/13

Game Seek (UK): 27/12/13

... don't know why I bothered doing that. It's pretty pointless.

GameStop (USA): 31/12/13

That one for sure is a placeholder date. I also wonder what GameStop will give put for pre-orders, since they gave out Sonic hats for Colors and the Casino Night DLC for Generations. Maybe a map of the hex world?

Am I the only one seeing the release date as December 31st?

All the dates I listed there are just random placeholders set by individual outlets, some that are possible and some that aren't. They're all in the DD/MM/YY format.

It's going to be a November release, though that could be risky since there's soooo many other games coming out that month. @_@ And in October too, now that I think about it!

Of course it's a placeholder.  Since when have there been 31 months?

(It may be a US store, but that is not a US date arrangement.)

When I placed my preorder with Amazon (US) they were doing the 'Ship in 3 to 5 weeks' thing.  At least December is a bit more realistic.

I'm putting my money on a November release date. That one from Xtralife seems very likely, I'm 70% sure that's the legitimate release date.

Note that I'm in the UK, so I wrote all the dates out in the UK format. Makes more sense than going haphazard with it. Heck, I even mentioned it in the next post.

Yeah, I didn't see your other post until after I'd posted.    If it hadn't said USA literally right before the date I wouldn't even have blinked, but the juxtaposition made it look really bizarre.

It probably will do. That's been the case since since 2005 for all the major releases.

well considering the last sonic game I got anywhere near its release window was heroes(and not even close), this will be a nice change, only question is what part of the month? though either way I am saving a gaming budget for when I am at school

What part of the month? Could be any time at all. Generations was slap-bang at the start, Unleashed was and the end and Colours sat nicely in the middle. It's a waiting game, but November is always a good bet.
