They should create a short animated film that shows all the events that take place during Sonic 3 and Knuckles from the very first punch to the epic battle in space.

Of course that would take way longer than a year so they'd have to start right now.

@Eli: OMG I LOVE your idea!!!! It's kinda like the Guide books some manga creators make for their series, right? I'd love for something like that to exist for Sonic! It'd be on the top of my Christmas list, XD.

That's not a bad idea actually, it could come packaged in a collectors edition game of whatever big game they have that year... but it would have to be a damn good game to do something like.
