They dropped the price because that's the new official price of the Vita

 

A price drop was bound to happen around Gamescom, so why not have the drop be a little early to get some buyers for the Vita.

Expecting:

 

PS4 - Launch date, one or two new games, updated builds on E3 games, animated gif of Kaz laughing

Vita - Pricedrop w/maybe some hardware changes & bundles, memory pricedrop, a couple new "big" games and a bunch of smaller/indie announcements, bundles, PS4 synergy

PS3 - Sizzle reel, bundles and shit.

 

I think it's very reasonable and leaves room for surprises like the upcoming Jak 4

 

For PS4, I expect more information on The Order, Killzone Shadow Fall Multiplayer along with a public demo for Infamous Second Son. As for new games, SSM's New IP has to be announced along with the potential announcement of Guerrilla's new IP with both coming summer next year. I expect at least one 3rd party exclusive as well (ether a PS4 Ratchet that ties into the upcoming film, From Software developing Demons Souls 2, or some exclusive from Ubisoft) and some kind of PS Classics line up announced which brings PS3 tittles like Last of Us and GOW: Assention running at 1080p and 60 FPS coming with the launch.

 

The Order isn't gonna be on the show (closed doors press only iirc), but it does seem Infamous will be available to the public. They're not going to show a PS4 Ratchet while they're pimping the final PS3 entry.

 

I'd definitely be all over using all these late PS3 games like Beyond to flesh out the line up, tho. Puppeteer as a launch game? That'd be sweet as hell.

More or less my thoughts too.

I'm sure they'll release some sort of tie-in game around the actual movie's release date. However, since the movie basically is just compiling Ratchet 1 and 3 into a single story, I don't think there will be any tie-in game... never mind, assuming 2 years between games, we'd be getting a Ratchet in 2014 and 2016, thus missing the mark of the movie entirely, as it's in 2015.

I wouldn't doubt some sort of small spinoff in 2015 but it's certain we won't see any PS4 Ratchet.

Now, Into the Nexus footage, maybe...
