I was also thinking something: could a character like Light Yagami work in this game? I know he was an assist in Jump Ultimate Stars, but it seems that the gameplay is different here.

Great question. I think it COULD work, even as playable, only that his attacks would be repetitive, since Ryuuk would do the fighting I guess. As a support he can surely work, just make him do what he did on Jump Ultimate Stars. A count-down to death. In this case it may be overpowered. But maybe it could just do damage instead. or paralyze his foe. Talking about playable, what moveset could he have ?  Something regarding apples, ryuuk hitting , maybe Light would punch and kick I guess, maybe Misa could show up too.

The rukia screens look nice, too bad she's just a support in this game though.

I think Gons Hulk/AwesomeHair mode will be there XD Also yeah its sad that Rukia is not playable, but Bleach will probably just get another rep if not just Ichigo. So Im somewhat happy that she is support, cause that leaves open a spot for someone like Byakuya, Kenpachi, Toshiro or Renji (Renji I admit, Id prefer Rukia over him)

 

Also whats interesting is the stages, little by little more are revealed obscurely by screenshots, but I wonder if every playable rep will have a stage of his/her franchise. And if a stage from a manga not repped will be there (Hope So) So far we have:

This is just out Jonathan Joestar, Joseph Joestar from JoJos Bizzare Adventures and Nube from Jigoku Sensei Nube are confirmed as playable, so wow just like that a 2nd rep from Jojos Bizzare Adventures, I dont know if its a translating error or something, but from those two single screens I cant tell. Nube is definitely playable I think, we heard rumours about him a long time ago!

 

That brings the total count of playable characters to 21!

 

 

Oh! it also says Hironobu Kageyama, Akira Kushida and Hiroshi Kitadani will be singing the games theme song called "Fighting Stars" How epic is that ?

 

For those who dont know Hironobu Kageyama is famous for most of DBZ´s songs (Cha La Head Cha La ~ )  

 

Kushida is well known for his works in the anime soundtracks of Kinnikuman, Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan and Uchuu Keiji Gavan.

 

And Hiroshi Kitadani ... well to make it easier hes most well known for singing One Piece´s 1st opening theme song as well as the 15th.

 

So this is bound to be awesome!

And yeah I love that we didnt get Jotaro, everyone was expecting him. That game cover makes me fear the amount of playable characters. Cause it has JUST all the playables, so its either a placeholder, or the rest of the roster is unlockable and this is the starting roster. Boy I hope this isnt it.

I agree with you all, Jonathan and Joseph instead of Jotaro was a great decision I cant wait to play as them!

 

We got some new screens featuring Oga , Tsuna, Kuroko, Sket Dance trio, Kagura and Sadaharu. The only news besides seeing some more attacks, is that characters behave like they would and that their dialogue will change depending on the opponent. For example Toriko being the food fanatic he is might have some choice words for Gintoki or Naruto (probably Goku too, since hes a beast at eating, but then again Luffy is too. Theres a bunch of awesome screens, but seeing how this thread is one where well be posting screens and scans, Ill just put it as links since theres a bunch of images on this page alone.

I can't explain it but, comparing these models to the ones found in the All-Stars Battle game, makes them look more...plastic-y? I dunno, they look like action figures to me. Maybe it' s the fact that these models are inspired way more by the cartoon than the comic.

They're just similar to their original art style. Most likely they took the models from All Star Battle and adjusted them.

Weve seen most of Luffys gameplay, but now we see more of Gintoki, I love how his scooter works!! we also see (while very short) some intros for other playable characters on the commercial!

 

The other bit of news is that the 21 songs for the anison song version have been revealed, Personally to me this is not too appealing, like I said, you could save money and make a playlist of your favorite jump anime songs xD The list is as follows:
