Sonic Lost World Preorder DLC

I don't think limited edition figurines and preorder DLC are comparable. There's a reason why the limited edition figurines are often focused in certain markets.

All I want to know now is which shops will be stocking it. Generations had a GAME exclusive version (included Casino Night), but chose not to stock the full collectors edition because of the high RRP. This could very well be exclusive to just one store.

I hope not. That's the worst.

I do doubt it will be, though. The closest comparable game is ASRT which wasn't.

Yeah because Gens collectors edition was a well, BIG collectors edition, this is just in-game DLC, everyone will get i'm sure, it's just another SASRT Limited Edition dealio I'm betting.

Didn't it take well over a year for the PS3 to get some of the Unleashed DLC? And then, has Casino Night been made available on all platforms in all regions yet?

Unleashed's DLC only got put onto the PS3 because someone wrote to AAUK asking where it was, it was then discovered it wasn't added due to an admin error. Over a year after DLC first started to get added for the game.

Casino Night has been on the Japanese store for well over a year and a half, but has not appeared in any other region (no explanation for this one has been given).

And this doesn't include all those desktop themes and avatars that got released in Japan but not over here... as well as those random desktop themes/items which were with Zavvi's pre-order incentive that never got released.

Music.

Will we be hearing NiGHTS music remixed in this? I bloody well hope so.

SEGA didn't sell one of their products, and didn't even notice, due to an admin error. Hahahahahahahahahahaha! Edited by Blue Blood

I really hope ShopTo get this version. I might ask them via Twitter if we don't see anything soon. I've already got the regular copy preordered with them and would much rather stick with them if possible. For a start, ShopTo are basically the cheapest retailer out there for games, and secondly (and arguably more importantly for me), you almost always get games a day or two early from them.

I'd say that failing that I really hope the DLC gets released normally later on, but given how the Casino Night pinball table ended up never being made available outside of the special editions does make me doubt that somewhat.

Quite frankly, I think the idea of preorder DLC that permanently remains exclusive to that preorder is fucking stupid. Sure, let people who preorder get DLC early as an added incentive, but permanently denying all but the earliest adopters access to it it ridiculous. Of course I'll be switching my preorder to this version ASAP, but I will resent it somewhat if I have to buy from somewhere other than ShopTo. I've got so used to getting my games a day early from them that getting a game on launch day almost feels like getting it a day late. #FirstWorldProblems mellow.png

I seem to recall there being a little bit of a tussle round here about the pre-order bonus's surrounding transformed. All that worked out well enough, so here's hoping this follows that same route.

This is looking like a nice pre-order bonus. It'll be even better if these bosses come equipped with remixed music and Reala somehow pops his ugly head somewhere where he doesn't belong.

I'm more annoyed when twelve different retailers all have different pre-order bonuses. I'm not buying multiple copies of a game.

Anyways, I'm guessing this will be available in the NA region. If not...well, this is the reason I said I hope the game doesn't get a special edition.

Couldn't care less about Nights, but extra content is always good...plus, the box art looks MUCH nicer. I will be getting this version for sure.

Prrrreeeeeeeeeeety much this. I'm one of the few people that wanted a Wii U from the get - go, as I was already curious about it, nevermind Lost World and the like. But this.... this just hurts me that I have to miss out on this magnificence.

Here's to hoping for even more cameos from Nights and other Sega franchises in the future, and that the 3DS version has something like this too...*crosses fingers*

I'v always wanted the wii U version but there a lot of games I really want that are for the 3DS soo....3DS Wins in my book. (Now I know how the people who didn't have a wii to play sonic colors feels sad.png.)

Well....we got the super monkey ball like Ice stage, does that count?

To me, more than anything, this gives me a vibe that Sonic is returning to the classic SEGA franchise a lot of people loved it to be in their childhoods. Sonic Adventure was packed with cameos of the like, and other earlier Sonics had little nods to other SEGA things. Why not? He's SEGA's big cheese and there's no better way to introduce SEGA's other franchises to the world than through Sonic. It's been so long since a Sonic game got other SEGA cameos that I'd forgotten how neat it felt.

I hope this isn't the last we'll see of stuff like this either. Sonic, as well as moving forward, can show us SEGA's best. It's little moves like this that remind me that SEGA is still the same company that gave us these classics. Maybe they're not what they used to be, but maybe they can get there again someday.

Or maybe I'm just being wishy-washy, but this is real fuckin' neato.

I know right, it's shame that sega has all these wonderful franchises in they history and doesn't take advantage of them. I love to see some old sega franchises get revived under some new light.

Why?  It wouldn't make sense in the normal game unless they marketed it as some kind of SonicxNiGHTS crossover game.  It makes perfect sense as a special edition/dlc thing because it's content that wouldn't be expected for the normal game.  It's not like additional characters in fighting games for example.  It's a bonus.

They did a similar thing in sonic shuffle where on Christmas day Lumina turns into Nights, and on april fools day Void turns into Reala.

Awesome! It includes a new level, as well as bosses biggrin.png

I like the "Sonic's worst nightmare" tagline. And that render of Zavok would make a lovely figurine. It'd be cool to see some Deadly Six merch pop up at some point.

So does anyone know if these replace the regular bosses or if they're extras? This is the version I'm planning to get.

Replace? While nothing has been confirmed, you can be 100% sure that these are bonus extras, not replacements.

Wish it was an entire Zone instead of just one level, oh well beggars can't be choosers.

The official SEGA Blog confirmed it too for North America. Yup, there's a redeemable code when you pre-order this edition or 'while supllies last' (called the Deadly Six Bouns Edition for N.A.).The code can be used at anytime though.

It’s Sonic’s worst NiGHTMARE!  Sonic has been sucked into a world of nightmares created by Wizeman, and must defeat the Deadly Six, who are riding on gigantic Nightmaren monsters inspired from the game NiGHTS into Dreams… .  This exclusive level is accessed via a redeemable code when pre-ordering the game, or while supplies last.  The NiGHTMARE DLC can be played at any point in the game and when the level is completed, a special Color Power (usually only obtainable from Miiverse) is rewarded to the player. Pre-order the Deadly Six Bonus Edition (called the Deadly Six Edition in Europe) of Sonic Lost World today!

Right then SEGA, where do we order from? A little clear up would be nice.

Yeah, I'm glad to hear this is coming to the US, but I'm also wondering where I can pre-order this version of the game...? I don't see a listing on Amazon or anything at the moment.
