So, um... yeah. This is my first topic ever on here, and I've decided to post some of my drawings and stuff. I've been drawing since I was around 12, I think? Maybe even earlier than that, not sure. Like many of you here, I grew up in the 90's and early 00's. It was a great time for American cartoons and Japanese anime. I watched Cartoon Network and its Toonami lineup almost religiously. I watched Nickelodeon and hell, even Disney Channel before they phased out cartoons in favor of shitty live action "comedies". I watched Dragon Ball Z, Samurai Jack, Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Megas XLR, Scooby Doo, Foster's, Freakazoid, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, House of Mouse, Kim Possible, Spongebob, Fairly Oddparents, Danny Phantom and so much more. I grew up watching Disney animated films, both traditional and CGI; the Disney Renaissance and most Pixar movies are my shiznit. I love cartoons. I love anime. I love animation and comics. I still watch catoons, mostly. Hell, I currently watch Adventure Time, Regular Show, MLP:FiM, Gravity Falls, etc., while watching tons and tons of anime. I love Super heroes; I grew up watching Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Justice League, JLU, Spider-Man TAS, X-Men TAS, etc. I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Why am I rambling about all this crap I like? Because all this shit inspired me to draw; it's not just a part of my childhood. In a way, it's a part of who I am and guides me on the path of who I want to be: an artist that can find a career doing what he loves while having a second job to make the extra cash I'd need to live off of.

 

But then there's this one series that got me to start drawing for the first time, and still inspires me greatly to this very day. Wanna know what it is? This guy:

 

 

Sonic the Hedgehog.

 

I love this series. It's a part of my soul. It's why I'm here. This series that's always itching to try new things and is always evolving; the art style is always changing. There's always something new and fresh to it in some way when a new game comes out, regardless of the quality of the product itself. The characters, the world, Eggman's robots and bases/space stations. This is a series that makes me foam at the mouth when it comes to art. I love it so much.
