I'm actually looking forward to the online multiplayer and bonus stages in the 3DS version more than the single player stages. I'm curious as to how they work.

Blue spheres homage, Yes!!!! Also tails's lab looks different by the way and those small cactuses are more like obstacles than enemies.

As cool as the 3DS version having a Blue Spheres reference is, it makes me sad because the special stages in that version have been referred to as "exclusive", so whatever the Wii U version has, it probably doesn't involve Blue Spheres.
