Please include a feature in the Options menu to adjust music and sound volume for once, Sega. Us Sonic fans and I really need that feature.

Also, add the 100-Ring Extra Life, Cutscene Viewer and Sound Test if possible. Thank you in advance if you guys want to.

I just hope they fix the final boss bug I mentioned in the impressions thread. That's all I'm asking for.

So, the patch is out.

How much does this change things?!

It's not, that was an error, but it will be soon.

All of the changes are appreciated, but there is some major weirdness that aren't covered there. Obviously we don't know if they're not mentioned (spoilurz?), skipped or delayed.

On the other hand, inclusion of more lives and classic controls for new wisps actually addresses some criticism from reviews. Admitting errors is something that not many companies have courage to do, so congratulations to Sega for that tiny bit, I guess.

Awesome update. This is fixing a hell of a lot of issues that the game has. Hopefully the extra life boost they give will help to balance out the difficulty the game has overall. Good on ya, SEGA.

So now Lost World is the first game made by the Colours team to give you extra lives for collecting 100 Rings, that's...cool, I guess? Though I never really had that much trouble with lives in this game, it's nice that they're addressing a few common criticisms. Same with the Wisps, I suppose, though the only one I had a problem with control wise (at least, at making it do what I INTEND it to) is Rhythm which...they didn't change. Oh. :'(

Oh, and I'm really glad that they're fixing that flashy glitch in Frozen Factory Zone 3, though I guess that was 100% expected of this update.

If they had another update with a cutscene viewer and maybe some other minor stuff I'd be thrilled, but I'm guessing this is the last we'll see of this sort of thing for this game. Ah well...

They added more than I expected.  I'm surprised.  But I guess all of those things you could regard as being on some level "broken," or a problem to be fixed rather than a true feature.

Someone list the updates, all I know is that they give lives for 100 rings again (like they should have in the first place)

You could just check the SEGA blogs or the TSS home page...

Today, we are pleased to announce that a new patch for the Wii U version of Sonic Lost World will go live soon, and will be available for free download!

This patch adds a number of improvements and changes. Please find the full list of updates below:

Gameplay Updates:

• Collecting 100 rings will now grant the player an extra life.

• In the event of a Game Over, we have doubled the amount of lives the player will begin with when continuing. (From 5  to 10)

• The Indigo Asteroid, Crimson Eagle, Orange Rocket, and Black Bomb Color Powers can now be controlled using the analog stick and buttons.

• Fixed a rare graphical issue that would sometimes appear during the pinball section of the Frozen Factory casino area.

Additional Updates:

• When completing the NiGHTMARE DLC, users will be notified that they can re-play it after scoring 100,000 points.

• Items will now appear on the world map.

We hope you all enjoy the new updates to the game. As always, thank you for your feedback!

Okay, the patch for this game just won't show up or download for me. I'm getting a bit peeved cause I've been wanting to try it for hours.

The patch should now be live in both North America and Europe. And for people looking for it, it should automatically download for you as you start up the game. :)

Wait wait...

THEY ACTUALLY FIXED A BUNCH OF FLAWS?!?!!?

Wow, like 75% of my problems with the game were instantly fixed. I wonder how reviews would be if this would have been the vanilla game. Tons of lives = no more starting a 10 minute level over frustration + buttons for wisps.

I've been here for years! wink.png I just usually read more than I post...

Any plans to add a Cutscene Viewer and Sound Test option in the future? Also I hope you guys know that me and others experienced the Casino Glitch outside the pinball rooms, I think in all cases it was related to the giant springs/bumpers.

  • 3 weeks later...

There is one bug that is just begging to be fixed.  If you're playing the game in Surround Sound, the voices are strangely disabled, meaning that you have to change your WiiU's sound setting to Stereo to hear the voices.
