My whole problem with that concept is Sonic would have to deliberately run like a slowpoke, just to mess with them. Tho he does that with a bigass truck in the games as well, so...nevermind I guess.

That chase scene with the S-team in the first episode of Sonic X was probably the high point for me when it came to that series (it all went downhill from there). The humans had to resort to their very freaking best, and Sonic could still run circles around them if he really wanted to. I can't see them topping that in this movie without me internally thinking "Why doesn't Sonic just leave them in the dust?".

So, then what do we get to see on that alien planet, if not established characters? New Mobians?

Or they’d just use real bluebirds for them. But, my ideal live-Action Flicky would take cues from the birds in the special stages of Sonic 1 and Mania.

My bet is on something similar to Sonic X: a Sonic vs Eggman battle goes wrong, but this time completely without other characters. After all, the games in the last decade was all about Sonic doing 100% of the action, other characters are just for cheerleaders and Sonic to save. I just can't see this movie of all things trying to break that trend.

I kinda hope the other characters like Tails and Knuckles don't all follow the same design parameters/art style as the games. What I like about SatAM and the Archie comics is the variety in character design. For instance, I could see Tails wearing accessories and tech to reflect his character traits 

Knuckles being more built and wearing tribal attire like this

(P.S: Not the humanoid body but the details of the design)

Everybody should have their own unique style. Mobians should come in many different forms

Green "Hills" is already in the movie and it's a small town in the real world, possibly other classic locations might follow like Casino Night, since that was the codename for the movie.

It's a cool twist on Green Hill but it makes me think, maybe there is not an alternate dimension where Sonic is from? But that interview said a part of the movie doesn't happen on Earth, so I'm assuming Sonic could be from a parallel universe where he and Green Hill are more cartoony, then he goes into the real world and finds a Green Hills Town counterpart, and maybe Shadow is his real world counterpart, Sonic himself becomes more realistic, etc. lots of ideas. Sonic X created that parallel universe concept, but this could have more put into it. And I have no idea where "Robotnik" fits into this, he's likely from the real world, but travelled across dimensions and met Sonic, then returned with him into the real world.

But this is all just my speculation.

Yeah, starting with Lost World’s final battle even the Wisps are useless cheerleaders. Forces (mainly through DLC), Mania, etc do try and make some effort to make other characters useful again to a degree, though. This was even a selling point of Boom, which is why people were actually pumped for RoL when it was announced.

I don't usually post anything like this. But a Twitter user called the2005Channel posted this edit of Sonic's shoes in the 2nd poster. And I think it looks great. Maybe this is one thing that "could" be changed to better please fans.

But if they want to make changes, there's plenty of time for them to do so. I mean look at Wreck-It Ralph 2 (different type of film though), the complaints around certain characters was changed quite a few times between trailers. And that was a much shorter amount of time.

A new Tweet by the official Sonic Movie Twitter account this time involving Sonic & the Black Knight. Conveniently after I changed my icon (after Millerwireless on Twitter made it) with the exact model, is when they use it.

I know this is probably a joke but this could also be a hint. Sonic & the Black Knight will turn 10-years old on March 3rd in NA, March 12th in Japan & Australia, March 13th in Europe all in 2009. Now Paramount has another film close to the 10th anniversary of Sonic & the Black Knight, Wonder Park which releases 2-days after Black Knights European release date. So could the 1st trailer release mid-March, I believe so.

On top of this SXSW 2019 is taking place around the time of Black Knight's 10th anniversary. Which Sega & Paramount have attended in the past few years.

This is just my personal take: I always hated the whole "Sonic swinging around a giant sword with 1 hand like it's nothing", so to me this tweet just sounds like "Whatch us top a stupid idea from 10 years ago with an even stupider idea this year!"

So,  a mod just told me to cut down the posting of my drawings because they would like to keep the topic more of a discussion. So, this will be my last drawing that I will post in this thread. However, that does not mean I won't be in this thread anymore. So, I'm not going anywhere. It's just that I will no longer be able to post my drawings here anymore. However, that's ok. I like to discuss. I could still post my pictures by starting my own art topic in the Showcase section if I feel like to. So, maybe, I might do it one day in the future. Who knows? My apologies if I did anything wrong. 

Anyway, So, I try to imagine how Sonic could look like in the movie. So, here is my take on Movie Sonic. Hope you like it!

Also, I put an drone chasing and trying to take Sonic down. Since, there was this plot about the government going after Sonic. So, I was thinking maybe, the government could use an drone to chase after Sonic. Also, the Fast and the Furious producer is working on this, so, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get an chase scene similar to like this.
