Alright, I, too, have beaten Super Metroid:

 

 

Yeah, I know I have a long Clear Time. It's been a while I've last played it, and with a game like that, I just can't help but take my time with it, exploring every little nook and cranny and stuff. That said:

 

 

... it's clear that I still need to make some improvement in that department. Eh, I still had a whole lot of fun with this game and, besides, there's always next time, right?

 

For extra proof, here's a mediocre snapshot I took of me wiping the floor with Mother Brain, just before the final escape sequence

Just finished Sonic 3D Blast.

 

 

 

 

This is actually my second playthrough of 3d Blast in three days, as I only got six emeralds in my first attempt.

 

In my first attempt I thought I had gotten all seven emeralds, but when I reached the final boss I couldn't fight it as I only had six. What a mistake!

There were some monsters leftover from Halloween, so I cleaned them up. No need to thank me.

 

 

I really liked this game as a kid; it was nice to revisit it after so many years. Funny story about this one: I made it all the way to the last level for the first time while playing, but then the game froze on me before I could get to the final boss. I got a picture after finishing level 30 that I was going to post, but then I thought: “I’m no quitter! If I did it once, I can do it again!” So I did.

So I've played through quite a few things these past few days...

 

First up was the Sonic games for the Gold badge. I'd already done Sonic 3 for one of the other challenges and got all the emeralds then.

I did most of them on a Wii emulator since it was the only reliable way to take a screencap, but had to do Chaotix and CD on PC since I couldn't get them to work on the Wii.

 

I'll probably try for some other awards later.

I wasn't planning on doing more, but I saw someone likely had more than me, so I had to go back in and complete another game so at least I would match them.

 

Entry # 15 Earthworm Jim

 

This game is fun until you get to like the final level. It really is frustrating to constantly lose on this last level and it is usually the one that frustrates me the most. I did the genesis version, so I did have to do the extra level and the boss there is a pain as well.

 

Either way though, this game is already, if not just a bit frustrating at times of course to complete. Good luck people.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles complete. Played as Sonic & Tails using a PC port of the game through Steam (as shown in the images). 7 Chaos Emerald collected; 0 Super Emeralds collected.

Still workin on that Gold Sonic badge. I'm having some problems  with Knuckles Chaotix, but that's not why I'm here now.

I don't know whether it's my keyboard controls or the game itself, but it was a nightmare to move around. The graphics were alright and the music was top notch. (Seriously, Volcano Valley's track kicks serious ass, for both acts.)

 

The hunt for the Gold Sonic continues. Man, you guys are moving quickly!

Alright, I cleared the Sonic Gold award requirements:

Played the StealthTax version, long story short. That was fun.

Sonic 3:

 

Played Sonic 3 Complete, got all emeralds and Super Emeralds. Can't wait for what Stealth and Taxman have in store for this masterpiece.

The future refused to be changed. But that doesn't matter, because I can make it change, bitch.

 

 

Sonic Spinball:

 

This game is terrible, and I sincerely hope I don't ever play it again.

 

 

Knuckles Chaotix:

 

This game is also terrible for different reason. Ye gods, the whole partner mechanic is just a mess, it made the game nearly unplayable. Talk about a slog.

 

 

THAT'S NOT EVEN A PROPER ENDING SEQUENCE.

 

At least I started with the terrible ones, and finished with the best. Now, to try and fit a couple more games in before the deadline...

 

 

Also, Mega Man 7. Holy crap, that Wily Machine was a pain in the ass.

Knuckles Chaotix, good ending. I've beaten the game before, and gotten all the Chaos Rings before, just not in the same run. This is the first time I've put two together.

 

I was playing it during the charity Sonic game marathon stream because why not. That led to some awkward timing...

Holy fuck was Robotnik hard! But there's his factory falling apart, and all the beans celebrating in the glorious black and white of this emulator once again.

 

There's no way I can beat another one by tomorrow so this is it.
