Say, here is an interesting thought, since we are able to change weapons(as in actual types) on the main characters at least, imagine the possible arsenal Ganondorf could have! he could have both his Dual, and single Broad swords, Spears, Tridents, or even a gauntlet and magic moveset, he could be even better than we thought!

The first take of the graphic made me believe Hyrule Warriors was going to be a 3DS game mellow.png

Yeah that'd be epic. Actually, the trident reminds me of something; Ganondorf had the trident in the earlier games. Perhaps instead of him getting a sword in Smash, he could get the trident (but still be in his human form of course).

That would be awesome. Although keep in mind, I think although most characters can use any weapon (or at least a limited number of weapons based on the character; some characters would look really off wielding a giant sword), they also have their own powers exclusive to them.

Just always remember how Nintendo functions: gameplay and story first, graphics later.

It's a Wii U game running at 60fps and with tons of shit happening on screen. With all that in mind it looks exactly how I'd expect.

That's Warriors games for you; even on the best consoles they never had the best graphics for everything that wasn't a main character's model. Ah well, have to get those hundreds of troops onscreen somehow in a reasonable development timeframe.

I think some games don't need to focus on making the textures outstanding as long as the art style is great or the genre, like this, needs to run well.

This is one of those games that makes the wait for E3 ridiculously agonizing.

I WANT TO SEE MORE ERMAHGERD

This game just looks so awesome. Multiple playable characters, yuss. Impa looks great, too! Not a huge fan of Shia's/Cia's outfit, but eh, just a minor nitpick. Not like that's anything new to Dynasty Warriors. XD But yeah, here's to hoping that Fierce Deity Link is playable.

Ok, we got more analysis, but also a fully translated story, and its a doosey, turns out the villain has 3 pieces scattered across SPACE AND TIME, oh and the other in the temple. So ya, we're getting classic/returning characters due to time shenanigans!

The funny part is how the original Legend of Zelda was originally going to have Link travel between the past and the future to collect the Triforce pieces.

That original concept is now being applied to a spinoff. Fancy that.

[*Eagerly awaits a Twilight Realm encounter*]

I definitely agree, and think we will, honestly I have a feeling we will end up with several continuities visited because messing with time and space generaly makes holes, villians like extra help, and who knows where those pieces of evil ended up

Anyone else think we will see our first legacy character(s) at E3? definitely not all, but a few to incite hype, and show part of the legacy side of this game

The idea of Skyloft crashing down onto Hyrule gives me serious Majora's Mask vibes.

explains why it doesnt exist in future games I guess

Actually I always thought that Skyloft stays in the sky up through Twilight Princess where its known as City in the Sky. Also, there is a Skyworld type area in Minish Cap, as well, which is likely Skyloft.

Well I thought it was established that there are other civilizations in the sky other then Skyloft.

I thought Skyloft was brought down to Earth by the gods to become part of Hyrule.

Nope, Skyloft remained in the sky at the end of Skyward Sword. The only part that fell was the Statue of the Goddess.

Skyward Sword is set way before OoT though, pretty sure I read somewhere that the gods brought skyloft and the other floating worlds to the surface to create Hyrule when the evil was destroyed, could be wrong though.

I need to whip out the Hyrule Historia and see if anything is mentioned. *shrug*

I think Hyrule Historia implies the City in the Sky from TP is Skyloft.

Also, don't forget that the Oocca are weird-ass-bird-human people.

When the only two species living isolated on an island in the sky are humans and huge birds, it was bound to come to that eventually.

I am now imagining Groose making love to his Loftwing and I do believe I am a changed man.

... Honestly, I'd rather not think of the implications of that. The Oocca are freaky enough as is.

Well, time to bring on the Groose X Loftwing porn. Oh who am I kidding, it exists already.
