Blue Blood
The older Wii Remotes are completely compatible, but lots of games now require the Motion Plus so that's the only pitfall to worry about. Take Nintendoland for example; you can play the Luigi's Mansion and Mario Chase games with a regular Wii Remote, but to play the Zelda Battle Quest multiplayer you'll need Motion Plus controllers. So while the system does support the original remotes, they themselves have become outdated and aren't supported by a growing number of games. 3DWorld does support the regular Wii Remotes, Nunchuck and Classic Controller Pro, though. So that much should be fine.
Autosaver
You can Black/White/Blue Refurbished Wii Remote Plus (Nunchuk Included) for $20 off the Nintendo Store. https://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=211211&catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&categoryId=70706&krypto=GrjJmjV7%2Fh%2BLquzlLeEgC0pM7E9p4HRUPrBBk5noDOUhysvG4h%2BRIMfOJ2hjwRRRKRVvdQqs1rg%3D&ddkey=https:SetCurrencyPreference I would stick with the Plus remotes. Not only are games starting to focus exclusively on the Plus features, some games are having better controls (Pikmin 3 for example) if you're using one. You can also use a Wii U Pro Controller. If you have a Wii U, I'd recommend getting at least one Wii U Pro Controller and one/two sets of Wii Remote Plus + Nunchuks.
