So, with a premiere date confirmed, what are some episode ideas and character uses you'd like to see in Season 8?

To follow up on this, here are some neat things I came up with:

Main Character Combos

• Trixie and Twilight
• Pinkie and Fluttershy
• Starlight and Fluttershy/Rarity
• Spike and Pharynx

Limelight

• Big Macintosh being less laughable
• Snips' equivalent to Buckball Season
• Shining Armor getting some showcasing, possibly with Flash Sentry playing a supporting role
• Silverspoon with little to no Diamond Tiara
• Scootaloo's family being revelead
• Sassy Saddles showing up again
• A Celestia/Cadence focused episode
• The other Equal Ponies(Party Favor, Night Glider, or Double Diamond) getting some screentime

Plots

• Lightning Dust's current status
• Spike visiting Peewee
• Follow up on Gilda and Griffinstone
• A flashback episode showing how the Changelings conquered Canterlot
• Scorpan showing up
• Folowing up on Babs
• Rarity's relationship with her parents

With the episode list and descriptions already being out in the wild and I having already seen them... I think it'd be unfair of me to put my thoughts/ wants out there like that. XD

Though, as always with me, more Luna = a pretty happy camper.

Twilight is indeed one of my favorites as well, possibly still exceeded by Fluttershy(among the Mane Six).

No, she isn't. Lily is emotionally manipulative and abusive, and hides her lousy arguments by intimidating the viewer in the process. A few things she's done include:

1. Told Josh Scorcher and anyone who defended Newbie Dash to die.
2. Threatened to beat up a man's wife because she defended herself against Lily.
3. On Tumblr, advised people to draw romantic and pornographic imagery of Ink Rose (a minor at the time) with another female to chase her offline.
4. Directly threatened to beat up her mom on Twitter.
5. Was allegedly friends with Tara Callie, a woman sockpuppet who, according to Lily's ex-friends, allegedly raped a homophobic, underage girl in revenge and then Lily helped try to cover her up in another unrelated molestation case.

Over a year ago, Josh Scorcher published a detailed video about his souring friendship with Lily, which concluded at the time:

So, for her to act like a moral high ground in the Toon Kritic scandal (when she is no better than that sicko) is incredibly hypocritical.

One of her worst reviews, period, was her Lost Mark one. In it, she implied that Diamond Tiara deserved to be domestically abused by Spoiled Rich because DT bullied the CMCs by saying schadenfruede/enjoyment of their pain should've been their (and by extension, our) initial reaction instead of horror.

1. The CMCs made it plain and clear after she and Silver Spoon fell out that DT was awful to them, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't worry for her well-being. Their reaction pushed forward the CMCs to getting their marks later in the episode. They had every right to believe she got what she deserved, but took a higher, mature road.
2. No one's initial reaction to seeing a bully achieve a low point the same way. Some react with glee, others with shock, others with disgust. The CMCs (and us as an audience) were rightfully horrified by how Spoiled treated her. It doesn't matter who it is. No one deserves to be treated like that, especially a child. Diamond doesn't deserve the abuse, period.

What are some episodes you think would be better in some way if they had a different placement?

Would you say some amount of pigeonholing going on with the show, particularly when it comes to some of the two-parters/finales?

Do you think the finales to Season 4 and 5 were originally written to be possible finales?

About a year or two back Hasbro started producing a line of higher quality toys (Guardians of Harmony or something) that were made from semi non-canon concepts to actual series moments that would appeal more towards male and older fans of the show. They also released a small series of IDW comics along with it if I recall.

It's actually some pretty neat stuff. They're some of the only figures I've every actually purchased from any of Hasbro's lines.

It's a really good video that articulates very well why Lily's abuse and threats mask her reactionary-laden arguments. She's emotionally manipulative, and her videos only make that more evident.

Newbie Dash was garbage. But a terrible episode with a toxic moral doesn't make Polsky, Haber, or Dave Rapp terrible people. They made a mistake. An egregious mistake, but a mistake nonetheless.

She better, because she ain't going to go so far in life with all of the negative reputation, poisonous personality, and history of abusing people.

Then again, she kicked a person out of her group (when she was still Jerry Peet and hadn't transitioned yet) for choosing to spend more time with his grandfather who was dying from dementia than host a debate on /v/ and got into a fan war with Animecristy after Animechristy was upset Lily used one of her art pieces without credit. So, I'm not so confident.
