Can't believe with how much people talk about this game up here that there's no topic!

This version includes a number of options new to Animal Crossing, including the ability to become the head of the village and boost its development, a way to install certain items in the village to make its characteristics more personalized for each player, and the ability to view homes of other players who are tagged through StreetPass connections.

I seriously can't wait for this.

I've only played City Folk, but I love the entire franchise, and can't wait for this one.

I want this. Badly.

Sucks I don't own a 3DS, but this game is seriously tempting me to buy one.

No. I had one for the GameCube, and played it when I was in grade 1. The people were so mean to me! Some of them, anyways. They scared me! Now I am scarred for life. XD I hate that game. Silly, I know, but I was a kid, ok? XD

Don't tell me to try it again. I'm too stubborn for that. XD

This is beyond nitpicky, but the character's anatomies bug me so much now. There's something just a bit eerie about the longer bodies, like they're rejected mascots from a knockoff Disneyland park or something.

Other than that, everything looks like good ol' Animal Crossing to me. I can't wait to get hooked on Animal Crossing again, only to end up leaving it alone for a few months, then one day wake up with the sudden urge to play it again and realize that the entire town turned into a weed festival and your neighbors are all assholes.

Also, I'm curious to see what role Tortimer will have, if any.

Aww man, I'm going to have to go out and get a 3DS now aren't I?

I seriously love the Animal Crossing series. They're nice to pick up and play on road trips or long periods of down time. There's really no better feeling to me than just popping in my copy of Wild World after a hard afternoon of mowing and trimming the lawn. The game really has a way of getting you to relax.

And, I don't care what anyone says. K.K makes some awesome music.

I've only played Wild World. It's weird, I should hate this game. It has no big, ultimate goal (outside of increasing your house), there aren't really any rules, you don't get to do a whole lot, and it never really feels like a "game." But for some reason, it's incredibly addicting.

These new additions sound interesting, and the mayor approach is definitely welcome. I'll wait and see how it looks.

Animal Crossing is a series that holds a lot of sentimental value for me; I'm excited to be able to play again and hope that we can get some SSMB meetups going on!

Sooo... Exactly what do we know about this game? <.<

I mean I haven't seen like ANY news. :V

Can't say I'm really excited for another AC game. The last few did little to nothing for me. Only one I really enjoyed was the GC one... making my own town flag via the GBA was pretty ballin'

Useless if you don't know Japanese, but yeah here's a small scan from Famitsu

EDIT: This video tells you what is going on in the scan, and it's quite lovely

This is an Animal Crossing thread right? Well let's post some Mario videos!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZszZBo33KII&feature=player_embedded

Now you're probably wondering why I just posted some NSMBU footage. Well unfortunately, the guy recording didn't record the whole conversation, but the person playing most likely asked the rep why it's taking Animal Crossing 3DS so long, or maybe why it's coming out next year instead of this year. So for the first 50 seconds the guy explains.

It's the sheer amount of text, holidays, and other stuff that's taking the localization team awhile to do all this. Just thought you guys should know. Basic Simple stuff, but I know some people do wonder about this.

I wish as Mayor we could create all these brutal unfair laws for the peasants, evicting and banishing anyone you don't like, bribe the police to let some certain things slide, and worst of all....raise taxes.

Maybe in the next game, when we play as Tom Nook.

You didn't put it in your quote, but apparently the game is called Animal Crossing: Jump Out? Or are they making that up? This is the first time I've heard that.

That's all very nice and all, but when is it going to be released? All we have is a release window in Japan and Europe. Let's see some actual dates.

I think that's the Japanese translated name. Japan got this title in the last Nintendo Direct, if I recall correctly.
