I honestly don't know... the character models all look awful in that trailer.   But the gameplay? The visuals? Naughty Dog developers? It looks like the game might actually be killer.

Yeah Marine can totally work for the vibe/setting Boom is going for, this could be pretty neat. Of course, this could just be a character that looks a lot like Marine.

I think it's real. The background is different to the the official artwork, and any hoaxer could easily have just used the clean background from the .psd on SEGA's Press page.

Look as the inside of the loop. That said though, it looks like there might have been some haphazard editing around the trees on the left, though that may just be down to the low quality of the image.

As has been said, if that's a hoax it's a darned impressive one.

 

I still want to know where it's from as much as anyone else.

 

Turning a minor character into a major character... I suppose it could work. It's been done with a lot of adaptions throughout history.

Last time they did that with Cream, with mixed results. Depends on the quality of the writing really.

 

 

 

Anyone else notice how Sonic & Knuckles tend to have a bigger focus than Tails and Amy in these promotions.

I knew that concept art was Marine and I'm glad she's a main character, if that pic is real of course. It definitely looks legit.

What voice? She never had one to begin with!

 

If this is real and it's not Marine, but instead just a character who randomly happens to look like her (because, let's face it, Marine is obscure and far from a likely contender to be brought back in any capacity), I'll laugh so hard.

She no longer has the colour around her eyes, she never had the brown patches on her head, it was one colour, and the fur on her ears is also new.

 

Edit: Eyelashes are different.

Doesn't appear to have those rings in her hair,

her hair is A LOT fatter than it was before too.

 

Whilst it could be a redesign... it's the most major change out of the lot of them.

She appears to be a raccoon. Not gonna dispute that one at all. And the boomerang motif screams Australian. But that's it.

Noting else about her looks like Marine, does it? It'd be a pretty rastic change beyond the rest of the cast. Plus she's gloveless. Somehow, I think that'd be one of the things Sonic Team wouldn't allow to be changed about existing characters.

She also looks slightly older than seven, so it could just be a major redesign.

When has Marine ever had anything to do with boomerangs though? Of all the Aussie stereotypes that were lived up to in Rush Adventure, boomerangs were nowhere to be seen.
