Sonic Boom announced (Wii U/3DS)

you didnt read this

Even if this game didn't deal damage to Casino, If this game would flopped, Sega takes a Lot of damage (I think you know Sega(non-consolidated) is smaller than capcom and Sega has only 22B yen cash, Sega's BIS ratio is only around 50%,(NIntendo is over 80%, Capcom is around 6~70%)

and

2. Possibilities. I mean only possibilities I'm not assure this game includes emerald find stage

But even if Boom doesn't have emerald haunting, we have another possibilities other bad things.

this, and

3. Conclusion

I can't understand Why many Sonic fans think this game will be awesome, In reality, this game isn't be great than Sonic fans think.

this.

1. I agree that if this game flopped SEGA will be taken a beating but it won't be so bad to the point where they will be in financial trouble.

2. So you are saying that you are afraid of innovation because of how when they tried new things they failed? Well, this isn't Sonic Team. The same mistake is most likely not going to be made twice (AND Come on, these guys made Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter, both are which critically acclaimed and great games)

3. There are many reasons to why Sonic fans would think this game is awesome. It's the first time other characters were playable in a while, it's going to be developed by somebody else (Mentioned them above), it's...it's quite frankly a chance to change Sonic and are opinion towards him, whatever that ends up good or not. So maybe it won't be that good, but there's a good chance this will be a good Sonic game.

Sonic and Knuckles were originally gonna have pants. I know many will disagree with me on this, but I'd have kinda liked to see that, at least on Knuckles (Sonic getting pants probably would have caused the whole fan base to spontaneously combust). Hey, it's an alternate universe, why not go all out with the designs?

They mentioned about a goal of bringing new and old fans alike together, whatever they stopped playing after 06, or whatever they just got Lost World and enjoyed it. A big design change makes the sonic fanbase go wild, and SEGA knows that way too damn well. OR at least, they should know it.

Omote, could you be a tad less negative and put some faith in Sega and Naughty Dog Big Red Button? They've worked on some pretty amazing games and I think we can be sure this one will be too.

I second this, for Knuckles at least. From the images I've seen of him with pants, I feel it really balances out those legs of his with his upper body.

I know we've already discussed this death in the designs topic, but I'd still rather not see any of the existing SEGA cast with shirts or trousers in their Boom redesigns. Keep it simple, don't go making big changes or additions. And all that said, I genuinely do think Knuckles looks pretty awesome as is. He could do with a slightly smaller torso and slightly thicker legs (seriously, emphasis on the word "slightly" there), but in the time we've had to get used to the designs I've come to really like his. They're all pretty great, with Eggman being in a whole league of his own.

I'm not sure. Maybe there's a scene where Tails gets chased by some bees? I'm not sure why that would make me unhappy though...

To be honest, I don't think it would be too much to have some pants on some of the characters if it makes the overall design look better. It honestly wouldn't be that big of a change and who know's, maybe it could be well-received.

Having pants on one character, but not the others would just look inconsistent to me. Sure, Knuckles would probably look better, but you would likely have to add them onto Tails and Sonic to add credibility to the intention that they're actually clothed.

You say it'd look inconsistent, but I think Knuckles probably could've used the pants. As many others have said, it'd hide those embarrassingly skinny legs of his, and aside from bulking up, Knuckles changed the least out of the cast; giving him some trousers would make him look a bit less "naked" compared to the other characters.

Besides, Amy and the other girls have clothes, why shouldn't any of the males have any?

I was referring to MegaSonic, on giving pants to only one character (despite that's not what he entirely meant). I have no qualms with giving other character's pants, as long as it's not just one character of the main trio over the other.

Its not that they shouldn't have clothes, they don't need them since they wouldn't actually add anything to the design. The only one who'd benefit is Knuckles' redesign.

Put me down as being against trousers for Knuckles, or indeed anyone else.  It would make them look too much like weird humanoids, in my view.  In any case, I think the Boom design team will have spent a long time playing with the proportions of the characters, and the version we've been given will be the best.  I'm not fond of any of the other attempts I've seen; if you bulk up the rest of Knuckles, he starts to look less muscly and more like he was just scaled up next to everyone else.

I don't see why they would, but whatever. Opinions.

I don't suppose it really matters anyway, wether one prefers Knuckles to be semi-clothed or not, since their designs are final. I like Knuckles's redesign well enough the way it is anyway.

I know a lot of people talking about Knuckles' legs, and all. But I don't find them nearly as odd looking as the Werehog's skinny legs. Seriously, I laughed when I first saw it.

Could have just been the fur, but it still looked hilarious to me. Dem tiny legs.

Right next to the Sonic Stadium interview of course tongue.png

But seriously, that was a good interview (James'), I just did take a lot of pride with my first interview ever. XD I did put a lot of thought into it, but I don't ever want to imply that mine is automatically better than any other interview past, present, and future. smile.png

Don't worry Hero, we still love you!

I'm excited about what they're going to show off at E3, I wonder how big of a reveal it will be. Do SEGA have press conferences at E3?

Sega likely had conferences during their console era, but since then, I don't think so.

Steven said something about a big unveiling for Boom at E3. I can only hope it's bigger than Lost World's.
