I'd really like the modern set.

As for my favorite question, it's a tough one but I'm going to have to go with my favorite level. The sonic series has always had some awesome variety with the locations in its world be it tropical islands (Green Hill), giant casinos (Casino Park), modern day cities (City Escape), or the base for the bad guy (Eggmanland), each level just always manages to blow me away with its visuals and atmosphere. Regardless if the level itself is a pain in the ass to beat.

As for this event, I really enjoyed the hell out of it. Only downside is that I couldn't participate in all 30 but hey, that's what happens when life gets in the way . Either way, I am proud to say I was involved with this and I hope to participate again in the near future.

I'll take the Modern Sonic versions. As for favorite Days/Questions:

 

Day/Question 1: What are your favourite Badniks?

 

I almost forgot about the awesomeness that is the Oil Desert Sandworm until I thought about him for this question.

 

Day/Question #2: What are your top five (or less-than-five, if you can't think of that many) Special Stages?

 

I fought with myself on this one. There are so many good Special Stages in the series but I haven't played many of them in awhile. Whether it was a remixed version of the Sonic 2 Special Stage or something new or original was my biggest factor for my selections.

 

Day/Question #3: What are your favourite FIRST zones/stages?

 

Not a hard question but it was still fun going back and looking at all the levels that start off a Sonic game….

 

Day/Question #4: What are your favourite FIRST bosses?

 

…and the Bosses that challenge you at the end. I'm surprised other users didn't mention the Sub-Bosses from Sonic 3 and Knuckles. I'm also surprised Egg Beetle was mentioned a lot.

 

Day/Question #5: What are the funniest animations in Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 for you?

 

This was the best day to look at other users' responses.

 

Day/Question #7: Which Egg Mobile design(s) is/are your favourite(s)?

 

While some people had trouble with this question, I was able to go through the designs and pick the one I thought was best.

 

I also learned something about Dr. Eggman that day.

 

Day/Question #8: What are your favourite ON-LAND Robotnik bases... APART from Eggmanland?

 

I liked the twist with this question. It's amazing how many awesome bases Dr. Eggman made that weren't in the Sky and Space. I completely forgot about the Secret Base Zone and the Techno Base Zone.

 

Day/Question #10: What is/are your favourite design(s) for your top favourite character?

 

I learned something about Amy I had never noticed before.

 

Day/Question #14: What was the first NON-GAME bit of Sonic media that you came across?

 

Looking back, the cover of my first Sonic Comic Book was pretty kickass. I also learned that someone else also started drawing Sonic after seeing and reading the Archie Comic Books.

 

Day/Question #19: Have you ever had any accidental/unexpected funny moments while you are/someone else is playing a game?

 

This was a question I had created for this topic. I'm glad it got picked because I enjoyed the responses

 

Day/Question #24: What's your favourite Sonic-related cameo... APART from Super Smash Bros. and Wreck-It Ralph?

 

Another great day to look at other people's responses and flashback.

As for my favorite day, I guess I'll go with the I'm not sure if it's the best question or anything, and as obnoxious as my answer was I sure had fun writing it. For the joys of pure word-craft, then, thanks a bunch, Crusher. :]

I'm tempted to go with a Classic styled badge, but eh, the Modern Sonic badge looks the most visually appealing to me. I'm picking that for sure, along with the Sonic Boom bonus badge.

 

My favorite question? Ho boy, it's a tough call between Favorite Sonic Cameos and Best Worst Lines, but my post in the favorite Villain aside from Eggman theme is undoubtedly my most popular, aside from Favorite Badnik. I like getting the chance to talk about something outside of the norm, and Merlina doesn't get enough love, so yep, definitely that. I also enjoyed the opportunity to be as sentimental about some of my fellow comrades with a few questions, so I really did get a kick out of that and giving some people a mention.

 

But alas, all good things must come to an end. Again, I have to thank both Crusher and Vertekins for adding such a spark of fun for a long month. I jumped at the opportunity to post in this thread as much as I could, and I'm really grateful for this topic to encourage me to post more active than usual. I know my posts could have had a bit more effort behind them, but hey, I was along for the ride and just having fun. So sayonara, 30 Days of Sonic.

I guess my favorite post to talk about was I mean I still like the games and all but you have no idea how giddy I felt when I saw the current direction the comic is heading, even if the circumstances that brought about the reboot were pretty shitty. Oh, and I like because I love any chance I get to gush about some of my favorite songs.

I'd like to request a modern badge, since that's how I roll. Props for the badge designs, Lady Soniko, they look fantastic.

 

I would first like to say that, when I did participate, these questions actually forced me to think about my answers. They weren't so clearcut and I occasionally came to conclusions I didn't intend to or remembered something I'd have otherwise forgotten. It was fun, is all I'm saying. Crusher did a fine job hosting the whole thing, and he deserves props for how he handled it and for wanting to carry it out even when he wasn't well (even though this thread should've been the last thing on his mind!). Also, I shouldn't forget the great job Kiah has done making sure this topic stays on track.

 

As for my favorite questions...? I haven't given it a ton of thought (and now I wish I kept a tally, because I'm not sure how many of them I even answered!), but I suppose I'm pretty proud of about my favorite characters and how I put together my thoughts...? Hopefully it gives people an idea of why I like some of the characters I like or what my expectations are. But I think my answer on was probably one that I enjoyed writing the most. Almost all of it was just improvised from very basic ideas I've always got brewing in the back of my head, and seeing it written out, giving me some kind of outline I'd like to develop into something else if I ever get the chance was pretty cool. It just got me jazzed about the possibility of doing some writing again, even if it just amounts to fanfiction.

As for my favorite day, I'd definitely go for Day 25. My fondness of Sonic has diminished quite a bit over the years, but the thing that keeps me coming back to this forum that sometimes makes me feel so alienated from the community's interests is that there's a surprisingly large number of people I really like and have grown attached to. I really like you guys.

I've always had this unhealthy obsession with 'favorites lists' and this post easily took the longest to compile, and Sonic music is probably one of the few things that I can very easily get really passionate about.

 

I also love clean, transparent logos. Mmmmmm.

 

I missed out on the 30 Days of Video Gaming topic last year, and after seeing all the purtty badges everyone got, as well as literally having nothing better to do, I made it my mission to participate every day this year in both topics, and it's been fun keeping up with it all.

This event was pretty fun. Even though I only participated for ten days, I had a great time. Also, great job on making the badges, Soniko. They look awesome!

Day 12 was my favorite day. It was fun talking about all of the silly and awkwardly delivered lines in the series.

My favourite question was the one that asked us to combine two games' storylines. It was really fun reading everyone's ideas, and Indigo Rush's reactions were priceless. My favourite post? Probably the one I did for that day or the one where I got to talk about the friends I have in the Sonic fanbase. :3

My favourite question out of this lot absolutely had to be either the "did you always like your favourite character" or the "put two stories together in bed" questions. The former for actually having a reason to look back and figure out when and how I became an absolute Amy nut, and the second for being able to try putting a bit of writing skill to the test and showing how I'd link the main four together.

Also, thanks so much for doing the badges, Soniko~! I remember watching the stream and they were looking beautiful from the start -w-

And special thanks to Crusher, Verte and Kiah for making this thing a reality. This is probably the biggest thing I've participated in so far on here and I don't regret it one little bit.

As for favourite question... it's hard to say, really. The ones I enjoyed the most were about my opinions on characters and stuff, where I could go into detail and add pictures/videos etc. Although talking about the Sonic media besides the games is also interesting.

 

I'd also like to say as a final comment, how much I appreciate the hard work that Crusher and Kiah put into this, so thankyou very much for this event. It was rather enjoyable.

Now as for my favourite question, I'd have to be for Day 16 where we had to decide which character's ability we'd have. I found it quite fun to try and imagine myself with a Sonic character's ability. I got to think and ultimately deiced the best power that would help me in everyday life. Most people chose Sonic's speed, but me? I'm the lazy type so I went with Silver's psychokinesis. 

 

I would have picked a question featuring the great Dr. Eggman, but sadly I wasn't here when those questions were asked. Oh well. I still had lots of fun doing this. Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

My favourite question would be the (I might be quoting this wrong) "how has Sonic affected your relationships" question. It's nice to see people here giving shout-outs to other SSMB members and saying how they (probably) helped them through tough times. Really gives one the feeling we're all one big happy, wacky, dysfunctional and angry family, and it's pretty cool to know that if one member wasn't around, things would be super different. Actually, I think it's good that Crusher came ill on this question, because hey, more time for everyone to speak about their Ess-Ess-Ehm-Bee friends!

 

As for badges... while I'm tempted to go for the Classic Super Sonic, the Modern one just pops out more, plus it looks nicer next to the Boom one.

 

Congrats to Vertekins for coming up wiith this idea, Kiah for taking on the arduous task of tallying everything, and last but certainly not least, Dr. Crusher for handling this event as well as he did. I doubt I could do something of this magnitude as well as you in my life, so serious kudos to you, good sir.

I guess my answer is Day 5 (funniest animation in NextGen). Just seeing all of those screenshots and animated gifs really made my day. To be honest I enjoyed all of the days, but this one I'm pretty sure I had the most fun with.

Fairly certain I nailed all 30 days, so I’d like the Classic Super Sonic one for that! If for some reason I didn’t qualify for all 30, I’d take the Adventure Sonic head.

 

My favorite question, hmm… I suppose I’d say the one about mixing the stories of the two games. I wasn’t able to do it entirely flawlessly, but the idea of blending two games together was pretty fun in and of itself, and was also pretty challenging. In addition, we all know there’s lots of areas where we wanted to see continuity between games, and the question gave the opportunity that we all wanted, I think.

My favorite question would have to be both the one about combining the sonic stories, as it really made me think and try to be creative with something already established, it was a nice curveball, and the music question as music is a huge passion of mine and being able to give feedback on my 5 favorite tracks from my favorite games was not only fun but made me really think about it aswell.
