Turn off Signatures?

Hey, sorry about the "noob" topic, but I had a gander through the settings and couldn't find anything on this: is there anyway to turn off signatures so they're not displayed while browsing the forum? I figured there'd be a way to do it since they're not displayed when browsing before logging in. Nothing against them, some users just have slightly more distracting signatures then I would like.

Go up to the top of the page. Click on your name, right next to "sign out". A menu will drop down with a few options. Click on "manage ignore prefs". At the top of that page, there will be a little box you can click that says next to it "Ignore all signatures when reading topics and personal messages". Select the box, go to the bottom of the page, and hit "save changes".

Ahh, I figured ignore prefs had to do with blocking people and things, so I never thought to check that. Thanks!

I used to have all signatures disabled for the same reason.

 

You can disable certain people's signatures by pressing the X button by their signature. I do that now and it allows me to see people's signatures while also disabling the distracting ones.

I didn't even know there was an X within the post. I don't really need to use it now but I would of used from other times.

Really? Guess I'll turn signatures back on then. There's only certain ones that are painful to look at.

 

Some users have signatures so obnoxious and hideous that I'd rather not see anyone's signature than have to put up with those flashing colors and gaudy images when I'm trying to read, so I've had signatures disabled for years now.

 

EDIT: Yup, still lots of 3-second anime clips. Thank goodness I can now selectively hide those. Awesome forum feature
