That E3 Gifs Thread: 2014 Edition

It's that time of year again! The time we're treated to a barrage of often funny memetic animated gifs and other images centered on the videogame industry's biggest trade show. Most of these pictures originate on the NeoGAF forums, which we are only too happy to shamelessly steal them from.

 

 

The Rule of Two Rules (or How Courtesy Does Us All Good)

 

1. Please don't quote image tags without a spoiler box, or better yet just remove the image tags entirely, because the image still has to load even if it's in a spoiler box. Not all of us are equipped with fast internet, and pages full of quoted gifs are a pain to navigate to say the least.

2. Please don't post the same gif multiple times. Once is quite enough.

It's known as the gif thread because that's mainly what comes out of E3 in terms of memes or other funnies. However, videos, photoshops and parody news pieces (if any ever happen) and anything else like that are all welcome.

and I also come with a poem i wrote too about e3 that i posted earlier in the statuses...though it expects disappointment, not hype...sooree guys...nevertheless....

and then you sit down to watch

only to see the entire thing’s gone botched

girlwood will be the first page

you will scream GET OFF THE STAGE

then comes television discussion

which will give your interest a concussion

next call of duty games
you will complain THEY’RE ALL THE SAME
by the time we enter sports
and talk of crossgen ports
you will be trying to stay awake
feeling your brain starting to break
from all of this tommyrot
you’d find more damaging than pot

finally a game comes and amaze
it brings you out of your daze
so different, so new
it might make up the rest of this poo
but what’s this? more crap
a presenter’s godawful rap
another generic shooting game
great we’ve went back to lame
a promising game hits errors
a conference’s defining night terrors

the conference has went back to shit
despite what just came before it
we near the end of the show
with one last megaton in tow
smoke fogs, the stage is set
it drops with big effect
only to reveal the unfortunate delay
to two years later in may

that’s all folks, the show ends
to disappointment found at all bends
of the gaming world in pain
viewers hang their heads in shame
and hope the next show is better
while others panic and fretter
about their favorite game getting the shaft
feeling the reasons behind it were daft
the gaming world feels screwed over
like a shotgun aimed at rover

a few people start to cry
feeling everything promised was a lie
and they are mocked by gamers who say “well, suck it”
who instead of watching the conferences said “meh, fuck it”
END
