My family have ordered a new laptop this week that looks like it can run most 7th gen games decently, so I'm hoping to participate in the sale this year! I'm hoping to pick up Sonic Transformed, Saints Row 4, and maybe Rust and some others depending on price.

Completely forgot to post this, I hope it's still relevant.

 

To UK dwellers, Mollfie told me that apparently Curry's are selling £30 Steam vouchers for £20.  If you're willing to "pay up front" for whatever goodies you might get in the sale, might be worth checking out.

 

 

EDIT: Not Comet, they shut down didn't they lol.  Must've meant Curry's.

 

 

EDIT 2: Not on their website so this might only be in-store?  Worth checking out if it's not a big deal for you to go to your local one.

  • AVGN Adventures

... which was every game I was hoping to get a nice drop on. on the first day.

Hmmm, I got Fairy Bloom Freesia and Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae too, and Vanguard Princess (lack of online led me not to get it before, but for $2 why not). Day 1 $10.00 spent. Hoping Battleblock Theater becomes a daily.

I'm honestly not sure what else I want to go on offer. I'd love to see Rust get a discount, maybe some other titles, but I'm not exactly sure. The only one I was really set on was ASRT.

  • Mirror's Edge doesn't look too interesting to me.
  • Don't want people giving me shit for buying Fairy Bloom (I have a couple of RL friends on my Steam), but I'll consider. The demo was fairly mindless stuff.
  • Don't like zombies (not because "ahh scary" but because they're cliche and I'm sick of them by this point)

 

Now that the negativity is out of the way:

Almost everything I want out of this sale so far is either indie or really old. Like Vangers, for instance, or Bully.

I'm hoping for this too but I'm worried that it's a bad port...plus I already played it on my 360 and the PC graphics don't look that much better. I guess 60fps will be nice though but the game still felt extremely smooth at 30fps.

 

EDIT: LOL, it's part of the flash sale now! It's still 50% though.

It's an alright game with some basic graphical settings such as resolution, AA, etc. but it is still locked at 30 FPS due to the engine.

Damn it...looks like I'll pass then. I already played it on my 360 anyway and if there is no PC advantage then what's the point.

 

EDIT: It's 75% cheaper now. Huh. It just changed.

If ya gonna get it, get it with the Sonic Hits collection. Otherwise, no.
