...Honestly my favourite classic era song. Radicool farts. But no, in a serious manner, I just really love the beat and the melody is so catchy that I simply can't forget it.

 

 

I really like how such a different atmosphere can be made through nothing more than a slight change in pitch and tempo from Act 1 to 2, this track deserves a little more love imo and I'd love to hear a modern rendition of it.

 

 

Sky Deck 1 got that bitchin' guitar and synth game going on, so beautiful and probably one of my favourite tracks from the Adventure era as a whole.

I really love all of Rouge's music in Sonic Adventure 2, honestly. I listen to it regularly. I like Dry Lagoon's theme the best of the bunch, but there isn't a single track that was unique to her stages that I don't absolutely love.

 

 

While I do feel Rouge's music is worth mentioning, my personal favorite track in the whole series is Flying Battery Zone: Act 2.

 

 

If I had a dime for every time I've listened to this song, I'd have a shitload of dimes and it'd be a real pain in the ass to turn all of them into cash <3

Always loved the Sonic music, so many tracks to pick from... I still think the first couple of games has the overall best soundtrack, but I do love a lot of the newer ones as well.

I'm going to keep this one per (good) game, as I could probably just post Sonic CD's soundtrack in its entirety and call it a day:

 

 

Definitely the most underrated track in the original game's soundtrack. I think everyone who doesn't rate it is probably being a big baby, re: the level generally.

 

 

Definitely Nakamura's funkiest track. A stark contrast to the 2P, which is boring as hell.

 

 

Deliberated long and hard over this one, as the whole Hataya/Ogata soundtrack is golden, but I had to go with the B mix of Palmtree Panic. Specifically linking Taxman's mix of it, with the breakdown and vocal sample to bridge the loop in the 2011 remastered version. When it was used very effectively in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZ_esthqnaU, I got goosebumps. Specifically linking the EU version of the trailer there, because the US had an end slate shilling Sonic 4. Get that bad game out of my good game trailer please, SoA.

 

 

No one has done an adequate, straight forward remix of this track with some amazing string sound fonts and less repetitive samples, and it disappoints me. Maybe one day.

Sonic Rush Adventure has my absolute favourite Sonic Soundtrack EVARRR. In fact, I love it so much I decided to go out of my way to create Digital Remakin'/CD Version arrangements of some songs in the game. (plugplugplug)

But, i'm going to try and share my favourites from the entire series.

Possibly my favourite track in SRA, and right up there in my favourite sonic songs ever. It's my favourite of the zone themes only because of how similar it is to Right There, Ride On, in terms of instrumentation, melody and progression. The usage of guitars fits the forest aesthetics well. The vocal samples work perfectly, and the song itself is very upbeat and fast-paced. It is the first zone of the game, after all.

Misty Lake is the only theme I actually remember from SatBK, probably because it uses the same melody and progression as the main theme, but that doesn't stop it from being a great theme.

The fast-paced strings with the very breakbeat-esque drumline gives the song a sense of urgency. It kinda fits, the fact that you've been tasked with finding the Lady of the Lake, Nimue.

Ch'yeah buddy. This song is just SOO GOOD. Sure, it's kinda overrated, but imo it deserves most of the praise it gets. While most people have already let go of this song because of Cobanermani456's absolutely terrible fanbase, that doesn't stop this from being an amazing song.

The creative twist of fast-paced sonic instrumentals and middle-eastern instruments is used greatly here compared to the other zone themes in my honest opinion. The lyrics, eh. They could've been kept out, but they make the song very memorable. The strings, oh man the strings. They're my favourite aspect of the song. The way they play the progression gives it a sort of, somber feeling.

Well this topic is really interesting! Well my absolute favorite Sonic song has to be this song.

Why you may ask? Well Silver is my favorite character. This is also one of the reasons why I like him so much. This song is awesome! Because it has a mix of music mainly Rock, Pop and some Techno. The original isn't so bad either. But this version is truly the theme song that Silver The Hedgehog should have.
