Still you gotta wonder why the spam votes happened when the Disney Revival was the theme. Disney and animated films in general are a very popular topic around here, some "competition" over people wanting a certain film to win was bound to be had. I've got an announcement to make, and it's something I've been wanting to talk about before but since movie night is over today, I may as well spill the beans after speaking about it yesterday. From this point on, SSMB Movie Nights is on hiatus until May 27, 2015. This isn't because of anything serious, nor are movie nights going to be gone for good. If you want a reason why, it's because May every year is a very busy month for me. I've got a lot of end-of-course exams to focus on for school, along with a project and assignments that are getting more and more heated every week. I highly enjoy doing Movie Nights every weekend with you guys and it's a real bummer for me to end up doing this, but if I want to continue doing well in school I have to make my own personal sacrifices in that regard. Another thing (though it's not even why I made the decision to begin the hiatus in the first place, but I just wanted it to have attention brought to) is that my co-host Winston has opted out of movie nights due to a lot of happenings in his life at the moment, along with the fact that he was unfortunately banned from SSMB. I'm going to miss the dude a lot as I wouldn't have been able to start doing this or get Movie Nights chugging along as well as they've been doing for months on now, along with the fact that he was passionate about watching movies with the rest of us as much as I was. But you know, shit happens and we all gotta deal with it. On top of that, I just really, really want to say a personal thank you to everybody who's attended Movie Nights thus far. Beginning this in November of last year, I had no idea that I'd gain such a sizable viewbase and have people looking forward too it as a relatively cemented community event here on SSMB. I have such a great amount of fun with you guys whenever we watch a film, and in a way it makes feel like I'm getting closer to people here on the forums and even meet new people. I'm sorry if I'm getting all mushy, but I'm seriously thankful for you guys for keeping this afloat and giving me something to look forward too every weekend to put my troubles aside and just have some fun with some fellow SSMBers. One extra note you can still suggest themes here while Movie Night is on hiatus, I'll be periodically checking the doc and might even use your theme for the future! I will also be trying to attend a few more of these as well (Would have loved to be at tonight's movie night but I was at the cinema watching Avengers Age of Ultron so I couldn't attend tonight's movie night) If you guys still want something fun to do over the weekend until Movie Night starts up again, Me and Klonoa have set up SSMB Community Game Nights which will be having it's official launch this Friday coming (We held a test run yesterday which was really fun and was a great success!) I can totally understand why you need to take a hiatus and I wish the best of luck for you on your exams and stuff. But being part of Movie Nights was just a bunch of fun though it seems like I haven't been able to join in on the fun as much as I should at the beginning. But whatever, I truly appreciate the effort behind this event and while Felix will have to go solo from now on, I'm pretty sure you can handle this just fine. I mean, I wouldn't be good friends with good ol' Felix here if it wasn't for this event. I'm on the fence about something: and it's about bringing Movie Nights out of hiatus. My workload has significantly decreased, and all I have to worry about is three end of quarter exams that are next Tuesday and Wednesday. I've got a an entire three-day Memorial Day weekend, exam days, then I'm finally out of school and ready for summer vacation. With me finally being in the calm after the storm, I'm not sure to just finally bring back Movie Nights now or do it once summer vacation finally starts for me. I really want to start doing this again because it's such a great thing to look forward to every weekend, and I can't wait to experience that with you all again without school being a burden on my shoulders. Your eyes have not deceived you, for we're now back in business! A theme will be revealed sometime this weekend, and the first Movie Night since the hiatus will be this upcoming Saturday on May 30th.
