The concept of children-friendly content sure changed over time from what I used to remember XD

Back then this would have caused an uproar between soccer moms

So the times are changing and people are growing. I don't see the inherent problem personally. Not saying you do, I'm just mentioning is all.

I'm not sure how good of a movie it will be. I'm not saying that I think it will be bad, I'm honestly not sure. But I'd like to watch it just to stare at all those cute furry animals :P

I needed a good laugh this morning. It's like some people just haven't been on the Internet enough to know a little thing called Rule 34.

Can I expect this to come back up again when KFP3 is released as well? Or are they doing this solely because it's a Disney film?

As a Furry, I would say that there's an inordinate amount of x-rated stuff being drawn for Zootopia versus properties like Kung Fu Panda or Madagascar. Not that it doesn't exist for the latter films, simply that there has been a much bigger explosion with Zootopia, and I would wager that's because there are obvious calls in the film to Furry culture. Hell, the entire first trailer's whole big explanation on anthropomorphism is something Furries popularized as a defense mechanism against undue media scrutiny.

Regardless, no one should be paying attention to this because it's easily avoided at the end of the day and the petition was more than likely an inside joke by a Furry. Slow news day, indeed.

An explosion of porn always happens with a big new thing, it's really nothing new, furry or otherwise.

I don't think anyone is under the impression that it's new. But you would be hard-pressed to say that the volume is the same for every single property under the sun.

That's not even the best part of the story though; the person who created the petition later posted this in the update section:

nevermind i just looked at some of the porn and its actuially kinda hot please make more

...I think Nepenthe was right when she guessed it was an inside joke xD

New trailer for the new year!

Oh boy, I am loving that animation.

Remember guys. EVEN YOU CAN LEARN SOMETHING FROM A SLOTH!

Haven't seen that trailer until now. Film looks great, for sure. The jokes seem solid as well, which is nice.

The sloths will never cease to crack me up.

I think we can all agree this looks WAY better than Chicken Little. XD

Yeah, it was a good trailer. Some funny parts here and there though the sloths are going to be the definite highlight of the film. Nick and Judy are so cute together~ <3

I can't wait to see this!

My parents on the other hand... aren't exactly excited for it, so I dunno if they'll be willing to take me to see it.

I've seen it today (it's been out in Belgium since the 10th) and all I can say is it's fantastic !

Zootopia (the town) is full of life. The creativity that went in its conception is stellar, I was amazed by some ideas ! The story is very cute, some kind of "polar for kids", very nice to follow.

I had some good laughs. The sloth scene made the whole room laugh, that was incredible.

What else can I say without spoiling anything ? Just go watch it when you have the chance.

Add one more to Disney's winning streak of recent years, this movie is absolutely amazing, it exceeded my expectations, it tells a surprisingly mature tale and does it loads better than most so called Oscar contenders that approach this movie's theme with all the subtlety of an anvil dropping on Wile E. Coyote's face. The characters are very well developed and Judy Hopps is the best role model for kids we've had in recent years. The jokes are great, Michael Giacchino's score is great and the animation is top notch. Alot of thought and care went into this movie, go see it.

It's great to know that this movie is doing very well so far. My Dad was very skeptical about it and assumed it would suck. I, on the other hand had faith in this film and it looks like I was right!

I'll post my impressions on this film when I see it... which I hope will be soon after the North American release date.

I'm really glad to hear that the movie is doing great. I was kinda anxious about how the film would turn out, but thankfully those worries can be put at rest. I'm hoping to see it in theaters when I get the chance.

We have a Rotten Tomatoes consensus. 27 reviews and it's still at 100%, not bad.

"The brilliantly well-rounded Zootopia offers a thoughtful, inclusive message that's as rich and timely as its sumptuously state-of-the-art animation -- all while remaining fast and funny enough to keep younger viewers entertained."

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/zootopia/

Couldn't agree more. I really hope this movie does great at the US box office to show Dreamworks that dumbing down their movies is not the answer.

Given how they tried to deny their competition's recent successes by saying "animated films aren't popular with the kids anymore" or something to that effect, I highly doubt they'll take Zootopia's praise as something to take note of and radically change their course of direction.

But yeah, kind of surprised to see this film maintain a perfect score for this long. I keep expecting a Rotten one every day because there always has to be that one reviewer who didn't like it that much.

Wow...I wanted to see it for a while but I honestly didn't expect it to be that good, haha. Well, now I'm looking forward to it even more :)

Bruh.

Just came back from watching this film, and let's just say I saw so many real life parallels in this movie that my jaw dropped at the fact they were even made. Some were pretty blatant.

No really, watch this movie and see what you can relate to in the real worlr. Other than that, it's a damn good movie - I thought it would be great, but it exceeded even that expectation.

The current group of filmmakers working at the Disney Animation Studios is just bursting with talent and ambition. This movie is the definitive confirmation that they took over Pixar's place as the mainstream reliable source of creative high quality animated films. Since Pixar is still making unecessary sequels(Not saying they'll be bad, just not needed) and Dreamworks is planning to abdicate of their own talent, It's gonna be like that for a while apparently.

Also Holy Crap, 56 reviews and still at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes!

Now it's at 99%. Freakin' called it. Though that doesn't really detract my interest to see it over the weekend.

Read the review. Her reasoning doesn't even make sense. "This metaphor can't work cause real animals eat others". Lady, do you even know what a metaphor entails? The 2 things only need to share some common aspects, not be exact equivalents. She comes across as ignorant and biased. "It's the social anxieties that make me uneasy". Oh no, a movie that challenges children to use their brains and think about things helping them develop! It must be evil!
