Who likes edgy games? This game has some edginess.

In a series that mainly kids play? Gee, awrighty then, Telltale.

But then again, the kids are not just any kind of kids. They're the fabled squeakers...

So, Telltale announced Episode 5's release date (March 25th), and appears to be biting off a little more than they can chew. If you want the full Minecraft Story Mode, then you are going to have to buy an additional three episodes. They are not part of the season pass. They announced a further three episodes will be developed after Episode 5.

If you want to go further, they also want you to at the very least, own Episode 1 of Minecraft Story Mode, so on top of that additional three episodes you'll have to buy if you want the full season, you need to have the first episode of the series as well.

...I honestly don't see why it's needed considering

The entire story of the Wither Storm didn't even manage to last the entire season, only providing enough content up to Episode 4, and Episode 5 is basically just a "And now for something completely different" moment.

Additional details is the cut Sky Dimension from the main Minecraft has been confirmed as the setting of Episode 5, and the assholes from Episode 1 who tried to

ruin Jesse and his friends' project for Endercon

are going to be the villains of the episode.
