Calamity continued to doze. However, a tree branch fell on her. She woke up with a start. "I'm-I'm awake! Yeah! Uh, what were-? Oh. Yeah. Pun battles. May the punniest win?" She shrugged.

[Failinhearts]

"Welcome back." Sonic says. "We'll start in a bit, we're in a loser's bracket at the moment. Tails vs Dreamy with sheep puns."

[Klinsy]

Dreamy made her final stand:

Dreamy: "There was once a little girl named Bo, she didn't make much noise, so you could say she didn't make a peep!"

Rosie: "Yeah, I'm going have to go with Tails."

Punchy: "Same goes for me."

Meowkie: "I thought they were both decent, nya, not sure who to vote for,"

[Failinhearts]

"Going for Tails." Sonic says. "And NO, I'm not being biased because he's my brother."

Sayaka nods. "Tails. Sorry Dreamy, but Tails was on a roll."

[Klinsy]

Hsien-Ko raised the flaw:

Hsien-Ko : "And the winner is Tails! And while we're here, lets get Calamity vs. Sonic out of the way."

"The theme for this round is ... cartoon sound effects!"

Valkyrie: "I'll be waiting for our round, Black Hair."

[Failinhearts]

"Just asking here... Can cartoon quotes count?" Sonic asks. "I wanna make sure I know what material to work with."

"If not, I'm screwed."

[Klinsy]

Hsien-Ko shook her head:
Hsien-Ko: "Sound effects only! You know like boom and pow and dun!"


Rosie: "I'm pretty sure those are comic book sound effects."

Punchy: "I never read a comic with a "dun" in it."

[Failinhearts]

"Well, I feel very limited here..." Sonic says, clearing his throat and shaking himself off. "Alright, let's kick this off with a BANG!"

"I'll be the punniest," Calamity said. "Of course, I'm up against Sonic, so it might be a bit slippery, but I'm sure I can do this!"

[Klinsy]

Hsien-Ko announced the winner:

Hsien-Ko: "For her cleverness, I give the winning spot to Calamity!"

"Now, onto to the next round of the loser bracket, Valkyrie vs. Homura!


"The theme is ... hair!"

[Failinhearts]

Homura flips her hair. "Hope you brushed up on your hair knowledge because you're going to be gelous."

"Let's just cut this short so I can claim victory already."

[Klinsy]

Valkyrie didn't go down without a fight:
Valkyrie: "It seems like I landed myself in a hairy situation, but I guess that stems from me being so good! Pig tails or pony tails, you're getting high tailed out of here!"

Meowkie: "Val, you're amazing!"

Rosie: "... Yeah, I'm gong with Val here."

Punchy: "I don't know who to  pick honestly."

[Failinhearts]

"Val." All of the Disciples say.

"Madoka? You too?" Homura asks.

Madoka slowly nods. "Sorry Homura, I have to be fair."

[Klinsy]

Hsien-Ko passed on Judgement:

Hsien-Ko: "And the winner is Valkyrie!"

"Alright, time for the final round of the Loser Bracket, Tails vs. Valkyrie, the theme for this round is ... weapons!"

Valkyrie: "You better bet that I'm gunning to win! The pun is mightier than the sword!"

[Failinhearts]

"I'm locked and loaded!" Tails says. "I've got quite the arsenal and I'm not afraid to fire on command!"

"So hit me with your best shot. Fire away."

[Klinsy]

Valkyrie fired back:

Valkyrie: "I think you're going to bomb due to my presence, mace as much as that you want as you will."

Meowkie: "Val is my choice."

Punchy: "I think Tails did better."

Dreamy: "So did I."

Rosie: "Sorry Tails, I'm sticking with Val."

[Failinhearts]

"I'm going with Tails." Sonic says. "Nice song reference, buddy."

"Tails. Definitely." Sayaka agrees.

Madoka thinks about it. "Valkyrie."

Homura decided to disagree with Madoka for once, simply because she held a bit of spite towards Val. "Tails."

 

[Klinsy]

Valkyrie admitted defeat:
Valkyrie: "You won fair and square."

*She glares Homura*
"... Mostly, enjoy your sweet vaycay."

Meowkie: "Val, you sound kinda upset..."

Valkyrie: "It's nothing to lose my head over."

[Failinhearts]

Tails looks at the tickets. He goes up to Valkyrie and gives it to her. "Here, take it. A little gift from me to you."

"You don't need to thank me. I just wanted to play the game. Not to win anything."

[Klinsy]

Hsien-Ko waited for the last contestant to arrive:

Hsien-Ko: "If this Amane person doesn't show up, we're just moving on to the next round without him."

Valkyrie: "Thanks for the ticket, Tails, I'll send you a photo!"

Hsien-Ko: "We can get Frank to take a picture! ... Assuming he learned his lesson about marking near every photo he takes with the E word."

[Tori Himemiya]

"Sorry for being so late but I got TIED up." Amane's attempt to make a pun didn't go off with everyone. "Tough crowd huh?"

[Klinsy]

Hsien-Ko started the last round:

Hsien-Ko "The theme for this round is ... dancing!"

Rosie: "Isn't that a bit biased in Amane's favor?"

Meowkie: "Well, Sabine did tell us Sayaka is a pretty good dancer herself."

[Failinhearts]

Sayaka clears her throat. "Well, let's break this down step by step. You may be the god of dancing, but you're gonna experience some twists and turns when I'm done with you. I don't need Sonic's help here, either. I can prove my independance. I'm gonna stay on pointe and nothing's gonna sway me."

[Klinsy]

They waited for 5 hours and than gave up:
Hsien-Ko: "Huh ... I think we should just move on, the winner by default is Sayaka!"

"So ... let's get ready for the next round."

"Practice your punning, people!

[Failinhearts]

"Alright, looks like me and Madoka gotta do our best here! Ready?" Sayaka nudges Madoka.

Madoka nervously blushes. "I-I guess? To be truthful, I don't know if I can do this..."

Homura puts her hands on Madoka's shoulders. "You can. I know you can."
