Not Allowed to Give Reputation Not Working

So, uh, sometimes when I like a post, it says that I'm not allowed to give reputation to that user, but I go to another post of theirs and like it and it works just fine. It works when it gives the message too, it's just... Weird.

Oh yeah, I've been getting that from time to time too. So you're not alone on this.

I got this a few times prior to the board upgrade (and I can attribute that to all the other problems the board was experiencing at the time), and after the upgrade. It eventually stopped, but then started acting up again recently. Even though I get an error message sometimes, the rep vote always goes through.
