I don't think we have to worry about the framerate problem in the video, at the very least...

Nintendo is the king of fakes confirmed. Those fake leakers got nothin on this shit.

Sweet! Monster Boy looks like the type of game that I would probably play on the go often. Was gonna get it on PC or PS4, but looks like I'll be getting it on the Switch.

Nintendo has an investors briefing in a few hours. There's also this from last night. Notice how he said nothing about games.

So, you can't use the Switch screen and the TV screen at the same time, that's kinda disappointing, since I got a lot of use from Wii U's off screen gameplay.

They mention games as well in another article

I'm a little worried about the fps in the video, but TBH I think it's more likely something to do with how the video was put together than actual performance issues. Nintendo are generally on top of having their games run at 60fps and from the BoTW footage I remember seeing on Wii U the game was running great there- doesn't follow that better hardware would run worse.

Personally I really like the idea of the switch. I wanna play Monster Hunter 5 on it.

A LIVE streaming presentation of the Switch will be held on January 12. Release date, pricing and games currently in development for the system will be revealed here too.

Ya know, I'm pretty excited for this, but cmon, you guys couldn't have waited a bit before announcing that livestream? Now, I'm going to be hard to maintain my hype for the next 3 months. :(

From press release:

In a presentation to financial analysts today in Tokyo, Nintendo Co., Ltd. president Tatsumi Kimishima announced that major details regarding the company’s new Nintendo Switch home gaming system will be shared at the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017. This will be an event for invited media, financial analysts and trade partners in Tokyo that will be globally livestreamed on Jan. 12, U.S. time. The presentation will include the launch date and pricing for Nintendo Switch, as well as a look at the lineup of games currently in development.

Ok. That was quick. Nice that they gave us the exact date well in advance this time.

I mostly want a Zelda story trailer and a DK game announcement.

It's likely gonna be a live presentation on a stage too,  It says they are inviting media to the event and broadcasting it, which sounds like basically what E3 was before the digital events.

Goddamnit, Ninty. First you go a long time without saying a fucking word, and now you're gonna keep people waiting for months knowing they desperately want to hear more.

In an age where PC minimum requirements range from 8 to 16 GB for usually ports of the PS4 and the XBone (wich have respectively 8 and 8-fluctuating-to-5 GB of ram) this is not promising in terms of having competitive equal ports. Nintendo, more than ever, must not be left behind even this time as the console were things like, say, the latest Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed perform the worst, because this will affect both sales and popularity and will risk to create another WiiU situation.

The switch won't be as powerful as the one or 4. Especially with the neo and Scorpio coming out soon. Nintendo is always behind  they are more strategic with their risk.

The hardware amount of RAM doesn't tell the whole story. The PS4 allocated about 2.5-4 gigs of RAM of 8 in total to the OS for the sake of being an all-in-one multimedia device, leaving about 4-5.5 left for games. The Wii U had 2 gigs but allocated 1 for the OS. The Xbox 360's games had less than the system's 512mb of RAM to spare.

Apparently the actual amount of RAM allocated to Switch games is about 3.2, which isn't terrible by any stretch. Honestly, 8 gigs in the PS4 was pretty much a fluke for multiple reasons, devs were actually expecting 4.

Today’s report, backed up by one previously used source and one new source who I have vetted thoroughly, is that UK specialist gaming retail chain GAME has been informed of the Nintendo Switch’s wholesale price to retailers, and is planning on selling their basic SKU of the system in stores for £199.99.

It is important to note this is not a Nintendo set RRP, as in the UK manufacturers are not allowed to set RRP prices for consoles. However, it is safe to assume this gives us a solid indication of the price the system will sell at nationwide.

We have also learned that a separate SKU featuring more internal storage and a packed in game is planned to sell at £249.99. We have heard rumours as to what this pack in game is, but we currently have only one source on this information so we are unwilling to talk about that pack in title at this time.

Both our sources have told us that additional Switch Pro Controllers are expected to sell at launch for £39.99 at GAME.

Lastly, we have been told that Nintendo is planning for the Switch to be close to direct conversion price comparable across regions, which we have been told is tied into their push for the system to be region free. This would in theory put the USA price of the system at approximately $249.99 and $299.99 (This is based off conversions, not any insider information).

She's been pretty reliable in the past. So, region free Nintendo gaming with those SKUs seem pretty likely :D

A friend of mine was searching the Switch on a Canadian Toys R'us site and it was temporarily priced at $330 CAD, which is roughly $250 USD. I really wish they took a screen shot or something. Can anyone else confirm?
