This guy!

Dan Sheridan.

His first major thing with Sega is a behind the scenes video at EGX right now.

His past experience seems to be he was the community manager/heavilly involed with the community promotion side for EA games: https://twitter.com/ea_actionman

His new twitter account can be found here: https://twitter.com/ThisIsActionMan

So yeah, this guy is the new Sega community manager for Europe.

Annnnd he's got some damned big shoes to fill.

I would really hate to be the new guy in a position when the 25th anniversary is just around the corner.

Best of luck!

Off topic: I've been wondering for a while now, but who's that in your avatar picture, hogfather?

It was mentioned above, but it's Ian Hislop.  In my head, Hogfather is his identical twin.  It makes reading his posts a bit odd.

What exactly did he do? I never heard of him till like just now

The article explains several of the things he did, which included really damn good things like just sitting and talking with a fan who was obviously pretty shy and introverted at the Lost World Steam Community Party, and doing things to help said person feel welcome, he gave out plenty of gifts and giveaways for fan involvement, he turned around a dying show (SEGA Central) and many other things.

Dan was the last part that even kept me remotely interested in Sega Europe after they solely focused on strategy games. He was a great guy and community manager and I really hope he has a bright future ahead of him.
